Got this for our Tritoon easy to install. Works great

Installed it in a 2004 GMC Yukon XL. I've lived with it for a while and so far it works great. There are plenty of accessory ports, but I didn't want to buy and carry around more cigarette-lighter-type chargers, so this is almost perfect, installed clean and I'm happy. I had an empty switch slot where I could install it, and it went in easily with a little modification of the nut to make it fit my particular space. The important installation debate is not about location, but whether you want to tap into a keyed or always hot power line, and the overall power draw on the circuit. I tapped into the power and ground for the cigarette lighter (using solder and heat shrink-- I hate when people strip insulation and just twist a wire around and put tape over it. Then I have to go through and find the short). My other car, the outlet turns on and off with the key, but the GMC is always hot. This could be an issue for parasitic draw if it's not a daily driver (which mine is not), but the blue light is quite bright when it is on, so it works as a good reminder to turn it off, and it lets me charge my phone with the key off, like when I'm in a store. Tapping into a cigarette lighter line is also decent because the wires on the circuit are built for a pretty heavy load. However, if you have kids or a willful spouse who wants to sabotage your camping trip, you might want to tap into keyed power. You have to consider load on the circuit. A lot of the keyed wires are pretty small and adding up the power draw can blow a fuse, or heat up wires to melting under full load. Don't tap into anything you consider vital. I didn't want to tap into my radio or HVAC's power circuit because it would add up to pretty close to the circuit's wattage rating under full load and I don't want either going out when I want to charge two devices out in the desert. It's a little bigger job to run a fuse tap but I'm still considering it if it ever becomes an issue. This would be much easier if it just turned itself off when it's not in use.

Da mein Wohnmobil nur in der Dinette eine USB-Steckdose hatte, wollte ich im Heck auch noch eine installieren und habe mir dieses Produkt ausgewählt. Schnickschnack wie Voltmeter brauche ich nicht, dagegen ist der integrierte Schalter eine feine Sache - wenn man die Steckdose ausschaltet, ist auch die Beleuchtung der Buchse ausgeschaltet und stört nachts nicht. Einbau ist natürlich simpel, einfach ein passendes Loch bohren, Kabel anschliessen und fertig. Pluspol und Minuspol sind markiert, so dass man nichts verwechseln kann. Auch angenehm: Die Gummi-Abdeckung kann problemlos zerstörungsfrei auch abgenommen werden (ist nur auf das Befestigungsgewinde aufgeschoben). Ladeleistung konnte ich nicht überprüfen, da ich kein Gerät habe, das QC3.0 unterstützt. Aber egal, hauptsache es kommen die üblichen 5 Volt aus der USB-Buchse.

Montage facile tiens bien bouton on off. Rien à dire.
