You can enjoy your plunder only if you make it out of the depths alive! Clank! Is a deck building game. Each player has their own deck and building yours up is part of playing the game. You start each of your turns with five cards in your hand and you’ll play them all in any order you choose. Most cards will generate resources, of which there are three different kinds: skill, which is used to acquire new cards for your deck. Swords, which are used to fight the monsters that infest the dungeon. Boots, which are used to move around the board. Every time you acquire a new card, you put it face up in your discard pile. Whenever you need to draw a card and find your deck empty, you shuffle your discard pile and turn it face down to form a new deck. With each shuffle, your newest cards become part of a bigger and better deck! Each player starts with the same cards in their deck, but they're acquire different cards during their turns. Because cards can do many different things, each player deck (and strategy) will become more and more different as the game unfolds. Review: I played this at a board game meet last year, and i instantly loved it. I also thought my group of friend might like this and they did, So I bought it. Its the only game ive fully invested into it, I got all the expansions and a proper storage system within the box to fit them all. Its alot of fun Review: What a great game! Only played it 2 player so far but it's so much fun and deserves the hype it's gotten. It's competitive and the idea is to get as many victory points as possible and get back out of the the Dungeon before the dragon kills you because you made to much noise (clank!). The risk though is you never know how many points your opponents have, so do you stay in and try to get as many as possible and risk waking the Dragon, or get in and out smash and grab style? My description is probably making the game seem a little childish but the game is anything but! The deck building aspect is fun and there's lots of cards so the game stays interesting, and as a whole the game itself is very easy to learn. The cards, double sided board and all the components are a very high quality. A group game , but you’re doing your own solo game, your actions won’t really affect other players. **Q: Does the insert hold sleeve cards?** A: Yes it does. I have Dragon Shield sleeves on my set and the insert holds them all snugly. **Q: What age group is this designed for?** A: In the box it says 12 + but the rules are pretty simple, I had played it with my 10 years old nephew and it worked well! Players that know how to play it and are faster in their decision making, this game can be played in about a half hour.
