Before installation, I measured and trimmed it to length using a band saw, which made a clean cut. Out of curiosity, I tried to cut pieces off the scrap piece using scissors, a heavier duty shear, and a wood chisel and hammer. All left a jagged edge. I then used a small hand saw with fine teeth, similar to a hacksaw, and it cut easily leaving a clean edge. Installation was simple. The fit in both length and height was perfect. Very pleased with how tightly the seal gripped the 1/4" thick glass door without using any adhesive or caulk. No water leaked below the skirt of the seal during an extended test shower, nor did any water drip on the bathroom floor after the shower when the door was opened outward over the floor. Very impressive. I needed it to be shorter but between bending it and using scissors I easily got it to the size I needed. It seems to be good, firm quality but flexibile enough when the door opens and closes.
