Fun, Realistic, and Great for Decoration or Pranks!
These rubber snakes are surprisingly realistic and a lot of fun! The Rhode Island Novelty Rain Forest Snakes are colorful, flexible, and look convincing enough to make just about anyone do a double-take. They’re perfect for decorating, party favors, or just good old-fashioned practical jokes. 🔹 Realistic and Detailed Design As shown in the product images on pages 1–3, each snake has detailed scale patterns, lifelike colors, and a glossy finish that makes them look strikingly real from a short distance. The assorted designs include everything from green to brown and yellow patterns, and they’re all 14 inches long as stated in the product description on page 3. 🔹 Great for Multiple Uses These are more versatile than I expected — great for scaring birds away from gardens, decorating Halloween setups, or simply as fun toys for kids. The brand section on page 3 notes that Rhode Island Novelty has been making quality toys since 1986, and that experience shows. The snakes are flexible but sturdy, so they can handle outdoor use without tearing or losing shape. 🔹 Not Perfect, But Still a Great Value While they look good, the customer review section on page 5 points out what I also noticed — a few snakes had slightly uneven coloring or thinner spots in the rubber. It’s minor, but worth noting if you’re expecting total uniformity. ✅ Pros: Realistic details and bright, natural colors Flexible, durable rubber material Great for pranks, displays, or garden pest control Good price for a 12-pack set Fun for both kids and adults ❌ Cons: Slight variation in paint and thickness between pieces Rubber smell at first (fades quickly) Overall: These Rain Forest Snakes are a hit for anyone who loves novelty items or creative décor. They’re fun, fairly realistic, and durable enough to use outdoors. Whether you’re pranking friends, adding to a reptile-themed event, or protecting your garden from birds, these snakes get the job done. A solid 4-star buy for the quality and value!

Nice for the price, but they are only 10" long.
Nice little snakes, but they are only 10". Maybe if they were straight they could be 14".

Great for Keeping Frogs Away!
These little guys are holding up very well and are keeping frogs off my patio, ladder, storage box, etc. They are under roof, but not completely indoors, and get afternoon sun. I'm happy they're still colorful and working well a full year later! I wish I could find larger ones for the garden. I am buying another set... so yes, I would recommend them. :)

On the smaller side
These plastic snakes were supposed to be used for a project and they were a little little bit on the smaller side, other than that pretty good quality

Bird deterrent that works!
I, like some others, purchased these for the sole purpose of putting them in my door wreath to prevent birds from starting families on my house. We had had a small family of baby bird eggs show up on our front door wreath about 3 months ago. Right there, hidden in our new wreath, 5 tiny blue eggs had found a home. Me being an animal lover of all shapes and kinds, we decided to leave them there and we even became attached to the little family on the entrance of our house. We tried everything to keep those little eggs and mama bird safe and undisturbed so they would eventually hatch and fly away. And soon, little balls of gray feathers showed up where the eggs once were! However, this tale does not have a happy ending. Long story short, a few days after the eggs had hatched, a few blue jays found the nest and.. you know the rest. We were devastated (okay I was) and knew we never wanted to go through that again. (I know, they're just birds! But c'mon, I'm human okay!?) Ok back to the review. So we did some research, found these plastic snakes, and hid a few in the other new wreath we purchased to hinder birds from making their nests. No birds have tried to make a nest on the door since despite it being breeding season, so the snakes seem to be doing exactly what they need to do. Some are very brightly colored, so the few neutral ones are working perfectly for being inconspicuous and not scaring the mailman or anyone coming over. If you have a bird problem, these will work just fine for you! And I can see how they would be entertaining for reptile loving kids too. (Oh, and F blue jays, the real jerks of the bird world.)

I bought these for a Christmas tree project (silver tree, black garlands, red lights, apples, and a Biblically accurate tree topper), and they're going to work perfectly! Great color, and the length will work well to allow them to be wrapped around the tree branches a little bit. In case you're wondering, it's a Good Omens demon Crowley coded Christmas tree. Next year's project will be an Aziraphale coded Christmas tree. I'm thinking a white or blue tree, with little sweets and cupcakes, an appropriately colored garland, twinkly white lights, and a Baphomet or Demon tree topper, just to be silly. Also, tartan bows.

These worked perfectly for the craft project I needed them for.

I'm using these to scare the birds who live in my enchanted forest FULL of trees area, where they fly around and poop all over decks and pathways. They try to nest on the house window ledges and poop everywhere. Snakes scare them, but these are too small and apparently not scary enough lol
