Installed as replacement woofers in a pair of bookshelf speakers. Had to enlarge the mounting board openings a few millimeters with a 2" drum sander before the speakers would fit. They sound excellent.

Sounds amazing, no distortion. Easy setup and mounting a breeze. Great quality for the price.

This 5 inch mid bass hits hard for its size, paired it with a 200 watt amplifier at about half volume and at flat tuned, it handles pretty good.

I purchased this speaker as a replacement in my 2014 Audi a6 for a mid range driver. This was the only speaker I could find that I could reuse the factory mount to secure the speaker to the in-door ported box. Upon opening the box, I noticed that the woofer had glue all over the woofer material. The bolting holes were between the ballast and the top cone. I knew than that this was a cheap speaker. Upon installing, the speaker started to distort and rip apart in two (2) days time. See pictures below. I’m really disappointed and will contact Pyle directly.

The Pyle speaker doesn't quite deserve 4 stars. It isn't quite as bad as 3 stars though, but that's what I have to give it after overcoming a manufacturing defect. My Logitech X540 5.1 surround system had a sub speaker on which the surround material deteriorated, making the bass sound horrible. I needed a replacement. The measurement between the screws was right at 5 inches, so I determined that I needed a 5 inch speaker. However, the box says it is a 5 1/4 inch speaker. Also, the original speaker is a 4 ohm speaker. Another speaker manufacturer claims their 5 1/4 speakers need a 120mm hole, and the hole in the Logitech subwoofer box is 116.87mm, so obviously a 5 1/4 inch speaker wouldn't fit without making the hole bigger. I ordered the Pyle 5", 4ohm speaker, to replace my original Logitech 4ohm speaker. The 4 holes on the Pyle speaker are actually narrower than the 8 holes on the original Logitech speaker, so I had to angle the screws to get it to work. Testing the Pyle speaker I had a buzzing sound, which I discovered to be one of the wires (tinsel leads) making contact with the spider (the tan coil in the picture). Pyle should have made the wire shorter, so it wouldn't be in constant contact with the spider. I had to unscrew the plastic piece mounting the connector terminals, and move it to the other side of the mount, to give the wires more distance from the spider. This 100% keeps the wire from contacting the spider, and also keeps it from contacting the cone. However, the speaker still sounds, I want to say, muddy. For the price of the speaker, I would say you get what you pay for. If I didn't need to fix the manufacturing defect, I would easily give it 4 stars, particularly since I can't hear the "muddy" any longer with the speaker on the floor behind the computer.

Please understand that I’m just a regular 56yo dude with little experience with speakers or subs, butt,… This thing is BOSS! Originally got it to entertain my, now teenage, grand children. I got so much more! The box is simply a re-purposed sun box I got at a thrift shop and replaced the dead 6 inch speaker, added a couple 6 inch radiators (diaphragms) and disconnected and sealed up the smaller speakers. Great sound, great durability and perfect price! I’ll be replacing the OG speakers with Pyles very soon! Great buy!

Ive been doing car audio installs for over a year and never have recommend this brand due to build and sound quality but i was really wanting to build a 3d printed box and this was the only midbass (woofer) i could find for a good price and fit nicely in the 3d printed box. And i most say after i hooked this up to a class T amp and ran some songs and movies through it for about a week to let the spider loosen up , this woofer has provided some shocking results! Its only running on a max of 50watts and it can move some air. Ive had it running for 3 hours straight on 50watts all the way turned up and the dust cap wasnt even warm, still wouldnt put this brand in any car audio installs but its for sure a great toy to have.

Also Hochtöner besser geeignet! Da ist kein BASS dahinter. Habe mir für den Preis mehr erwartet da es pro stück ist. Bei mittlerer lautstärke ein klirren der Membrane

This speaker works well as a sub for the popular MT-21 amp boards. For the price you can't go wrong.

Sehr guter Klang und ist sehr laut , mein Sohn hat sie in eine holzbox eingebaut das es besser klingt und einen besseren Halt hat , sonst hüpft sie ja herum und fällt runter durch die Musik.
