*********NOT A SPONSORED REVIEW************ 2.5 year update: PROS: -This trimmer has been nothing but reliable. -SHINES when it comes to giving my kids haircuts! Quickly adjusts length, and the flexible trim head easily contours. -Adjustable trim levels generally works well on thick/dense I have wasted more money in trying all the less expensive beard trimmers on the market, than if I had just gone straight to buying this. Here's some pros/cons: PROS: #1. The "flex head"! It's basically a suspension system that allows the trimmer to smoothly glide & evenly trim over any surface. It's the ONLY trimmer on the market that has one, and once you feel it, you realize how much scraping is required by EVERY other trimmer. Besides hurting, scraping leads to patchy looking stubble because it's so easy to accidentally press down too hard and trim more than you intended. #2. It's range! It cuts as short as 0.4mm, and adjusts by 0.2mm increments all the way to 5mm. Giving you the ability to shave seamless fades. #3. It's power. My wife is a hair stylist and this trimmer is powerful enough to easily trim our boys hair without tediously switching clipper heads in order to blend the cut. Making haircuts much faster. #4. It's reach. The guard isn't overly bulky, so I can trim every part of my mustache, even the part right at the base of my nose. An area all of my previous trimmers have struggled reaching. #5. Excellent battery life. lithium ion batteries. Also, instead of displaying battery life by the % remaining, it straight up just tells you how many minutes of battery life it has left. #7. The blades. I can't remember the precise details mentioned on the box about what makes the blades so fancy. But I can affirm they're super sharp by the fact they've never tugged a hair on my face or head. Even with the trim guard off, it's never knicked my or my boy's skin no matter the angle. #8. 100% water proof. I've never used it in the shower, but it says you can, if that what interest you. CONS: Nothing. This thing is #Blessed. There's probably other Pros... But I think I've said enough to convey that these trimmers are absolutely worth every friggin' penny to me.

All of which ensure that no matter how often you need your beard trimmed it will always perform better than its competitors. Waterproof There are two features that make the Super Stubble perfect for beard trimming, the first being waterproof. If you have ever owned a non-water proof trimmer in the past then you know how true that statement is. Your razor will be fill and clogged with hair if you cannot clean it properly and the best way to clean it properly, is to run it under water. If it is clogged you will begin to see less power in the trimmer, more tugging and pulling of hairs (which hurts), and the length you desired will not happen. No matter how well the trimmer performs, it will always fail you if it cannot be cleaned well. Also, if you prefer shaving in the shower then now you have the option to do it with your electric trimmer. Electric Length Control Its precise millimeter length control, with length memory, is the second reason the Super Stubble is incredible. The trimmer has fifteen different length settings from 0.4mm to 5.0mm, making it versatile for any user. This allows you to customize your beard exactly how you want it and if you did not like the length last time you trimmed, then you have fourteen other options. A feature easily missed is the length setting memory automatically recalls the last length that you used. Whether you shave often or barely ever, this feature will save you a lot of trouble. If you shave multiple times a week, you will not have to waste time picking the correct length every time because it will be ready to use right away. If you do not shave often then you will not have to try hard remembering the last millimeter you shaved to. Assuming you are trying to find the perfect beard trimmer for you, then you have come to the right product because the Conair for Men Super Stubble is the best beard trimmer on the market right now.

This is the most high tech trimmer I've ever seen. From the prior reviews I was expecting to see a better product than the regular I-Stubble trimmer but this thing makes all my other shavers/trimmers look low tech. I am especially impressed with the digital adjustments. When I bought it I thought that would be gimmicky and cheaply implemented but it's a very high quality product which you can fine tune in 0.2mm increments. It also gives a very comfortable trim, catches 99% of the hairs on the first swipe and is easy to clean. It's actually so nice I'm afraid to put it underwater since although it's supposed to be waterproof it does have a lot of crevices. Overall, I'm very impressed by this product and the only negative thing I can find is that you can't use it while charging. It does however have a 5 minute quick charge so that isn't to much of a problem. Pros: - Cuts cleanly, smoothly, and without pulling - Easy to fine tune in 0.2mm increments (doesn't seem like much but they each make a big difference when you're going for a stubble look) - Easy to clean - Waterproof - Has travel mode to prevent from turning on / messing with height - Remembers your last trim height and restores it when turned on (collapses height to lowest when off / travel mode) - Looks great Cons: - Not that cheap (get a lot for price) - Can't charge while using - Has crevices that water can get stuck in (I dry it down) - Recommends you clean after each use (my shaver is auto cleaning) Note: I paid full price for this product and wasn't compensated in any way for this review.

***Please note that this review is for the SUPER I-Stubble, not the regular one. The Super version has very important features that are not available in the less expensive version (waterproof, settings memory, etc). You can pick which one you are ordering by toggling it from the main product page. First off, i'd like to say that my beard is made of steel, and my skin is as sensitive as a wet piece of paper. On top of that, my facial hair grows back at a ridiculously fast rate. It also grows in multiple directions. This makes shaving extremely annoying, and almost useless. For that reason I've resorted to using a double edge safety razor to clean up my neck and cheek area, while using a trimmer to keep a stubble look. I've used many options, including both cheap ($20-$40) trimmers, as well as expensive ($100+) trimmers, and wound up throwing them all out. This one is the best I've used so far, and here's why: Waterproof: The Super I-Stubble is completely waterproof, which just makes cleaning that much easier. I don't like to trim my face in the shower, but for those who do this would also be a good plus. Memory: The trimmer does not have any combs to add/remove, it simply adjusts itself based on you hitting the up or down arrows. When you turn it off, it remembers the last setting that you set it to so when you turn it back on it returns to that length. If you accidentally hit the up or down arrow while shaving, it will stop the razor. This is good so you don't accidentally shave off too much. Display: The display is extremely useful. It constantly displays the current length that you have set, and when you turn it on and off it also displays how much time is left on the battery. I can't tell you how many times I have been in the middle of a trim with other products and it just dies on me, leaving my face completely unfinished. That is why I've switched to battery powered trimmers to prevent this, but now I no longer have to worry. There's also a 5 minute warning light, which turns the number 5 red and flashes all the way down to 0. Power: The power is just fine. It's not the strongest trimmer I've used, but it gets the job done. I have yet to EVER use any type of trimmer or razor for that matter that will trim or shave my beard in a single pass. My hair just grows in too many directions, lays flat against my face in some areas, and is very thick. I do have to use multiple passes from multiple angles to get the look that I want, but I've gotten used to expecting that at this point. When I flip the guard back and use just the trimmer at its lowest length setting (no setting), it's very nice and actually gives me one of the nicest trims I've experienced. Battery: The battery is fine for me. 3 hours initial charge (please don't forget this) and then 90 minutes for every charge after that. Battery lasts for 60 min, which is perfect. Also, the trimmer remained at constant power all the way from 60 to 0. It never slowed or got "weak" near the end, which I really liked. Maintenance: It's easy to clean, and although you SHOULD oil it every once in a while you don't HAVE to like some other trimmers require. But really if you want it to last you should oil it every now and then. Evenness: This is the only con for me, and isn't really that bad. The plastic guard that adjusts itself is not made of extremely hard plastic. For that reason, if you press too hard against your skin the guard can actually be pushed closer to the trimmer head, resulting in some areas with shorter trimmed hair. I have noticed that it's not terrible, and by using even pressure everywhere and allowing the contouring head to go along with your face you shouldn't have a problem. This is the only reason I took a star away, since this product is a bit pricey. But again I've experienced much worse with other trimmers and when you get the hang of it you should be fine. All in all I am very picky with what I use now that my stubble has become part of my look - since I hate shaving so much. If I have any issues with this product down the road I will update this review, but for most people most of the time this should be the perfect solution to maintaining anything from a shadow to stubble to a beard.

I'm fairly picky about trimmers, but this one has been great. Adjusting the depth on the fly is really nice and easy to use. I've had a lot of success with the guard and the depth working out well. I've heard some others who it doesn't quite work out as well. The battery is pretty good as well. I use it about 2-3 times a week and usually only charge about once every two weeks (just to make sure it's full), but it lasts quite a while on a single charge. It works dry or wet, but I've noticed with some hair growing in odd directions, going against the grain while dry and not at the right angle can definitely snag, so I'd recommend wet/right after a shower when the hair is damp. The pivoting head was a little stiff when I first got it, but that has gotten more fluid as I've used it more and it glides nicely on my face now while still trimming those pesky odd direction hairs. Overall, worth the price and having the amount of adjustability of depths this thing comes with if you like to have a well kept stubble or scruffy look that's clean.

The shaver works well for its intended use, but did not last. It ended its short life as just another cheap chinese manufactured electronic device after about 30 uses. I had plugged in the shaver the night before work before pulling it off the charger and began using it without looking at the battery indicator. Evidently the battery does not hold a charge any longer. I had shaved half my head before it quit, leaving me with a half shaved head and 15 minutes of time left before I needed to head out the door. Other shavers may not work as well, but this is a low quality, unreliable product that will not last year more than a few months.

Use this in the shower on a weekly basis to shave my balding head. I love that I can clean the whiskers out of it by just holding it under the shower head. It gives a close, comfortable head shave. I prefer my head hair very short, so I use it without the guard at all, which can be flipped back to just use the bare blade. I've also experimented with the variable length settings, and that also works quite well with very incremental length adjustments, but I've just settled into the groove of not using the guard at all for that extra close clipping. Great product. LOVE the cordless convenience. Holds a charge well. My first full charge (read the instructions for details regarding the first charge) held for several weeks. There is a battery indicator to let you know when its time to charge it up again. I've had this for a couple of months now. As long as it lasts a few more years, I would definitely buy it again. Worth every penny. **UPDATE Dec 2018** Downgrading my review from 5 to 3 stars. I loved it while it worked, but it died an early death. I still use this several times a week. In the last 6 months or so, it started having occasional "issues", where mid-shave it would stop while the display blinked several times before powering down. I could wait a few seconds, start it up again, and continue my shave. As time progressed, this issue became more frequent until finally, this week, I can no longer use it to shave. It only stays on for a few seconds before dying. Buying a 2nd one today because I loved the first one so much. Hoping to get at least 3 years out of this next one. Will update with any new issues.

I bought this beard trimmer to maintain a very short beard. I had a bit of a problem with my trimmer when I first attempted to use this. I charged the trimmer overnight and turned it on. Everything seemed to be going fine until I tried to increase the guard length. Pushing the + button didn't seem to do anything other than stop the trimming head. I was just about to pack it back up and request a return, but I decided to give it one last try. I turned the trimmer one and pressed the + button. Again, nothing happened except the trimmer head stopping. So I slightly pulled the trimming head while pressing the + button and the trimming head finally moved and the display increased by 0.2 millimeters. I have not had any issues since this first sticking point. I have confirmed it is able to adjust through the full range of adjustment and now works perfectly. I wanted to share my experience in case anyone runs into a similar problem during first use. I would highly recommend this trimmer, it cuts very well and last a long time on a full charge.
