In about 15-20 minutes I was able to remove all of the ice, filling a 5 gallon paint bucket with some extra ice to spare, by holding the ice pick at a 45-degree angle and slapping the end of it with the palm of my hand as I worked my way around the freezer.The hardest part was removing the ice around the wired freezer basket, but that only required a little more patience and care than the rest of the freezer.
