Works good.
So ive been using this thermostat for about a week now. I did have some concerns initially about the temperature probe, as its in with a very cantankerous nile monitor that loves to destroy everything. Luckily, as of this review, she has not noticed the probe. Double checked temperature accuracy with a temperature gun. Both read the same at the basking spot. The timer function is great, and I believe has 4 or 5 timers you can set up. I'm using 3 for a ventilation fan. Cord length is more than enough for use, and nice and thick to accommodate the rise in amperage with using what is effectively an outlet strip for your timer/heat/always on options. The instructions talked about easy preset functions for new users. I was able to easily customize the features to suit my needs. Works great for me, and especially for the price. I'm happy.

Killed Everything (all the plants, hopefully not the whole hobby) :'(
With his own money, my 13year old son purchased a THC16 temperature controller from Amazon on June 15 to use with a chest freezer to keep some sensitive exotic (carnivorous) plants at very specific conditions. The controller worked great for a month, doing everything he needed โ until it didnโt. My son was sent to camp for a week and my wife and I took a 3 day vacation. When we came back, we went to water the plants for him and found that the controller was registering high temp (120ยฐ). The plant lights were on, creating heat, but the controller was no longer cycling the freezer. I can only assume the plants were cooked in there at 120+ for 3 days. Needless to say, they are all completely fried. This is probably nearly $1k worth of plants that he has accumulated all by himself though buying and selling, and birthday and Christmas presents since he was 9 years old. He comes back from camp today and I am sick to my stomach knowing that I am going to have to tell him that all of his prized plants (that he normally checks several times per day, belongs to a local club for, has his own youtube channel for, and is currently even designing his own website for) have all been effectively cooked because of this faulty controller. I have since tested it and confirmed it is definitely no longer working. I would not recommend relying on this item for anything that you want to keep alive. Product is 0 stars. I have also written to the company in hopes that there may be any sort of guarantee or coverage for the items (plants) it killed. I have not heard back yet but I will also be rating the manufacturer based on their response. I will also update the resolution here. For now, I am at a loss of what to do next. This is going to completely devastate him and we have to break the news to him when we pick him up from camp today. Edit: I contacted the manufacturer (Repti-Zoo) and they said they don't provide after sales support for items that aren't bought directly from their website. So 0/10 ranking for them. I contacted Amazon and they offered a return. So although we lost $1k in plants, at least we got to return the $50 item that caused it. Kudos to AZ for doing that, at least.

Could be easier to program
It works as described, the directions are not super clear on how to set things up, but with some trial and error, was able to figure it out. FAST shipping.

Does what it's supposed to!
It's accurate, but it also beeps, a weak little alarm if the temp gets higher by 5ยฐ or so past what you have set. I disabled this. Not a con, I understand why it exists but there is no option to disable it. if you press a button while the alarm is going on, it stops but immediately starts again. All in all it does it's job well aside from that annoyance.

Expected to stop working after about 60 days, and the alarm to go off incessantly.
I've been using this thermostat for just a little over 60 days. I have a 4x2x2 PVC enclosure for my Ball Python, and have a ReptiRad radiant heat panel, a UVB light, and a dimmable LED. Initially I thought it was great. I like that I could plug the radiant heat panel into the temperature spot, the UVB into the timer spot, and the LED into the always on slot. I was having no issues and it was working exactly as expected until 2 days ago... All of a sudden the alarm started going off. It makes a clicking noise that goes on for hours and hours and hours. It doesn't seem like there's a way to turn it off. What's worse is during the day when the alarm goes off, it makes the UVB light flash along with the alarm. I had to unplug my UVB because I was afraid this thermostat was going to kill the bulb, which is not inexpensive... I reached out to the company, but heard nothing back... It's almost as if the thermostat has failed. Basically during the evening settings, it's letting the temperature drop 1ยฐ outside of the range that I've preset, and this causes the alarm to trip. For whatever reason the thermostat is not increasing the heat from my radiant heat panel. I ended up having to unplug this thermostat and go back to my original thermostat that only controls the heat panel and not the lights. When I got the temperature back in range, I plugged it back in, but for whatever reason the alarm is still going off sporadically. Even though the temperature is within the range set! Even after I disconnected the radiant heat panel and just left the lights plugged in, it's still triggers the alarm because the temperature is out of the heat presets...... It seems like it's just not built to last, and a huge waste of money... The idea of this is perfect! This seems to be the only thermostat that I found that controls two lights and a heat source...

Great product for the price.
Works exactly like advertised. Wish they thermostat would have the choice of proportional and dimming instead of just on/off. I know this would raise the cost and I would pay it. For this one though, the price is good and versatility is amazing for the cost. Will update later with reliability and accuracy over time.
