Review: Transformers Animated Lockdown
This toy is show accurate, and I actually ended up getting two so I could also give Transformers Animated Cybertron Ratchet an EMP generator. In robot mode it has a very good articulation, it stand on it's own and it's very fun to pay with.In car mode it stays together pretty well, it plays as a normal toy car greatly and it just looks great.

What a disappointment!
Lockdown looks cool. At least, it was designed to look cool. He has limited articulation to express his character, so it's all about the looks. Unfortunately terrible paint job and stress marks negate the positive points of this well designed mold. Sure, even some Takara Tomy figures have these problems. But I can honestly say this figure has the worst paint job I've ever seen. The black paint looks so cheap one can easily think this is actually a knock-off. The vehicle mode is somewhat better because the wheels roll nicely. Still, it can be a cool toy to buy for kids. Collectors should only buy this if they desire to complete their Animated collections.

Lockdown is one of the coolest!Lockdown was a favorite on the animated show and besides Megatron is the most bad-ass looking animated transformer in the line.He is also one of the better quality ones in the animated line as well. The detail on Lockdown is great all around in robot or muscle car mode. The muscle car looks very realistic with the spike decor and purple tinted windshield just like on the show.In robot mode Lockdown has great articulation in the body and head piece.Lockdown has some sweet features like a hook attachment for the hand and the engine booster on the hood turns into an EMP blaster.Lockdown is one Bounty Hunter that can take care of business up close or from a distance. The poseability is outstanding with great stability for creating battle scenes or unique poses for displaying where you please. The durability is excellent as well with secure joints and a solid build in either robot or muscle car mode. The transformation level is advanced meaning if you have plenty of experience with transformers there is mid-level difficulty. If you are a parent buying for a child of 5-6 or younger you might have to help some in the process.Lockdown has a very versatile transformation that can be learned by most ages with practice.Bottom line Lockdown is a well-made,high quality,10 out of 10 transformer all fans can enjoy.I highly recommend Lockdown to all transformer fans and collectors out there.Lockdown Rocks and Transformers Rule!!!

Lockin' it down with Lockdown. HURR.
(please ignore the title it was a terrible joke and im sorry)ANYWHO, I love this figure simply because it's of Lockdown but I do have a few issues with it.The hips are what bother me the most since they vaguely resemble his in-show counterpart. I must admit, his slim hips are one of the things I like about him so it was sad to see they couldn't be properly modeled in his figure. But I assume it's to allow his transformation to be better executed so It's not a big deal. His poseability is also somewhat limited but, again, I assume it's for transformation purposes. All in all, I looooove my Lockdown no matter how show accurate he isn't. He's worth the money I paid for him. <3

awkward bulky but ok
Looks great in car mode. I got cuz i jus saw the movie. i prefer the cartoon version best. A lot taller than i thought too. U can only pose so much because of the leg joints but still one of my favorite characters.

Somewhat disappointing
Listen... don't be fooled by the Dads who are impressed by the cool car, this transformer has a few issues you need to accept before you make the LOCKDOWN LEAP.1. His hands look gay. Seriously, they don't fold all the way out, they just fold kinda halfway out, angled like he's got weird gimp hands, and it's frustrating (because you keep trying to fold them out more, they just have to lock down all the way out right? No, they don't *lockdown*, they don't!)2. You need a nail file, key, flathead screwdriver, or something, to pry his head out of the windshield when transforming him. It's a royal pain.3. His weapon is also the hood of him as a car, and while it can stay attached to his butt when he's a robot, it pops off pretty easy too. It's a piece your kid will have to Keep Up With, but if he loses it, Lockdown ain't got no hood now and now he's no car.All that said, he looks really cool as a car, is very thick and solid (like most of the animated toy line, which seems to all be made much less cheap than the regular transformers), is easy to transform (except for the stoopid head), and is very cool looking. His legs pop off a lot, but hey, they snap right back on.
