I specifically wanted a 1/2 cup scoop for a recipe that I use. Ice cream scoops you buy in the supermarket, or even kitchen stores, are not specifically measured like this kind of scoop. Well made, with a sturdy plastic handle, the triggered bow release has the "8" right on it, indicating how many of these scoops fit in a quart. (The higher the number, the smaller the scoop.) Exactly what I needed.

We use this purple scoop for peanut butter. Since peanut butter is an allergen we have a specific scoop. Easy to use and clean
