Jormungandr's Debut
Great start to the series. I liked it enough to finish it in two days. Good action, enjoyable even for a 24 yr old. Kids should be able to recognize with Arthur easily. Cons: it has some loopholes adults are likely to notice but kids probably won't. (Ex: Arthur freaking out in class and seeing runes on the board. No one thinks he might need to see a doctor or get some counseling. Instead the ordeal is thrown off and he's told not to do it again.) If you like accurate Norse mythology, don't read this. There's some accurate mythology, but the author creates his own ideas for Loki and Jormungandr. I didn't particularly enjoy Loki's incredibly evil and psychotic persona- but that's probly cuz I'm a Lokean. Either way, Loki's character is exceptional.

Arthur Quinn and the world serpent (The Father of Lies Chronicles
I liked this book a lot because it was realistic sounding and due to the amount of detail made it easier to believe.I loved the way Arthur dreams and then his dreams come true.It makes me think that what you dream could come true.I give this book 4.5 out of 5(one of my highest marks yet!) I'm looking forward to. seeing Alan Early in person on world book day in Ireland, Galway. (Lucille,11)

Very Entertaining
Nicely written, charming story invoking Norse mythology. I enjoyed how it mixed in the modern city of Dublin and technology.

Fantastic take on the Norse myths based in modern day Ireland. A brilliant series that easily bears comparison with Rick Riordan's Percy Jackson and Demigods series.

Great book, finished it in 12 hours flat. I loved the mix of myth and modern. I'm sure that my family will love it too

I got it for a 14 year old who was going on holiday and she was very pleased with it.

My son thoroughly enjoyed this book once he managed to get into it (it starts off bit slow). he normally prefers to read in bed and when we got to the allotment (anything except weeding!) but this book was one of the few that he stayed up reading until I took his headlight torch away for the night and then got up in the morning to laze around in bed and read some more until he had to at last emerge for food (he even dashed back to it as soon as he had his morning loo break). He's a fan of Marvel and Percy Jackson and he says this made the book right up his alley. He's 12 and recommends it for kids his age and older, though he says if they are pretty good at reading kids 9 and up will love it too. A cracking read that has him asking for more, which pleases me no end.
