Doc's ProPlugs (Pair) Clear, Vented - Medium

Great for diving to keep water out of your ears!

I started diving about 2 yrs ago and began having issues with my left ear. I didn't have issues with equalizing while descending or ascending. The issue I had was problems with pain and fullness after the dives about a week later. This went on every trip I took. I was desperate to find a solution. Enter Doc's Pro Plugs-they gave me back pain free diving. I dive with no issues during the dive or afterwards. I have no issues with equalizing going down the line at all. I would never be without these ever. They are just great. I keep 2 pairs in my mask box so I will never be without them!

I use the Doc's proplugs to keep water out of my ears because I have perforated ear drums. I used the non-vented forever before realizing there was a vented version. These are perfect for situations where I don't plan for my head to go under water, but I want to make sure I don't inadvertently get water in my ears due to someone else splashing or similar. I sometimes forget I even have them in because they are so comfortable. I'm not a big water activity person so I will probably use these at all times I'm in the water unless I'm planning to go into the ocean, in which case I will wear the non-vented proplugs.

Another diver offered a pair of these to my wife on a recent dive trip in Belize. She has often had ear decompression issues going down, and the sensation of cold water in her ears was unpleasant. These totally solved the problem! You must be careful not to fiddle with these once they are in and you are in the water. That breaks the surface tension of the bubble they hold, and they won't work any more. Also, they are easy to lose as they can slip out on surfacing, unnoticed. It solves this to wear a head band covering the ears if you are not diving in a hood. With a bit of experience, these work great. If you like them, it's a good idea to have a spare pair or two.

Had major issues with my ears from water entering while diving. I used these with a hood and I had no issues while diving and after diving. A little water did enter but not enough to cause problems. I will have a few back ups just in case! This is a must have item.

DISCLAIMER: This is a review from someone who just hates getting waterlogged ears, so I can't speak to the viability of these for people with ear tubes. I've had these for about two months now, swimming 3-5 days a week. The vented pair do a great job of keeping water out of my ears, and I was able to do a few feet of diving with no problems. Definitely important to get the correct size (you can order sizing kits from their website online), but otherwise these work perfectly.

Super stuff. Protect your ears, you won't regret it.

Il prodotto è di silicone molto morbido e robusto, ha un forellino per la ventilazione dell'orecchio (per evitare effetto ventosa in acqua). Comprati per la pesca in apnea come protezione dell'orecchio (acqua, freddo e quindi otiti)... lo testerò appena possibile
