They're clear plastic push pins. They're flat on one side, and pointy on the other. When pushing the pin, push on the flat side because if you push on the pointy side it hurts. The container is sturdy enough so you can screw the lid back on after you get one out.

I bought these because I had run out. They're exactly what I wanted, though clear color. I laughed at the box. I thought what did I get?! The box is about the size of a Vicks VapoRub jar. They are average quality, a good size, and definitely value for the money you spend. I would definitely buy them again. Just be away. They come in a small square cardboard box.

Bought a cord board from Amazon and needed some thumb tacks / push pins for him to hang up his school work. The push pins came in a screw top container which I like so when it gets knocked over they down spill everywhere. Good length and no issues.
