Best tea on the market
I just switched from drinking coffee for the last 20 years to tea. I can definitely feel the difference overall. Before the tea I think mentally and routinely I was only making coffee just to have the first cup. Hasn’t done anything for me for the last 5-8 years. I was turned to this tea by a customer of mine. I had about 4 sips and I felt like I was ready to run 80 miles without a break lol. It gives you that energy rush, tastes great, and is affordable!

Great for Kombucha too!!
I recently tried these loose black tea leaves, and I’m absolutely thrilled with my purchase! The taste is fantastic – rich, smooth, and full-bodied. It has a wonderful aroma and a depth of flavor that’s just perfect for my morning tea or any time of day. One of the best things about these tea leaves is how versatile they are. I use them to make kombucha, and they work wonderfully. The tea ferments beautifully, producing a delicious, tangy kombucha with a perfect balance of flavors. It’s clear that these leaves are of high quality, which makes a big difference in the end result. In terms of value, this product is unbeatable. You get a generous amount of tea for a very reasonable price. Compared to other brands I’ve tried, this one offers great quality without breaking the bank. Plus, the packaging is convenient and keeps the tea fresh. Overall, I couldn’t be happier with these loose black tea leaves. They taste great, work perfectly for making kombucha, and offer excellent value for the price. If you’re a tea lover or a kombucha brewer, I highly recommend giving these a try. Five stars all the way!

Bold enough for a coffee-drinker, complex enough for a tea snob
I'm generally a coffee drinker, with a serious side habit of green tea, mostly iced (if green tea has 10% of the health benefits claimed, I'm immortal). Hot, black teas have always been a little thin to me, but this one holds its own with my coffee-honed palate. I've read that a high-end Assam should have a malty character, which this does, but not heavily so. It has a full-bodied, mildly acidic flavor that is suitable to consume without anything in it, but does well with a splash of milk and a touch of sweetener. I'm not sure that I would enjoy it as much as an iced tea, but I'll probably try it just to see. I primarily purchased this because I'd never tried Assam before, and I am very pleased. I prepared it in my Bodum Assam tea pot, using 1/2 filtered, 1/2 distilled water, at a temperature just off boil. I steeped it for longer than the recommended 2 minutes, as I prefer my hot beverages on the stouter side (again, coffee palate). After about 5 minutes, it achieved a wonderful amber color, and had a distinctive aroma (something beyond just "hot tea"). I started with about 5 tablespoons in the infuser of the pot, and ended up just filling it about 2/3 full. I don't know if I'm breaking some sort of fancy tea protocols there, but the result is delicious. If you let it steep overlong, you get an increasingly opaque liquid with quite a punch (but eminently drinkable for someone who likes their coffee to chase them about a bit in the morning). The product appears to be pretty uniformly leaves, relatively large, and few stems that I could see. It came in a tightly packed, easily resealable bag, with a product specific sticker affixed to the front. I would have liked a little more package-literature about the tea, I suppose, to tell me more about the tea, it's sourcing, history, etc., so I could sound more like a tea nerd afterwards, but all in all, an excellent tea, and one that I will certainly keep handy as part of my regular stock.

I've Tried Several
I've tried a few of these, so I figured I'd share for anyone curious. • Assam: very good quality and reasonable for the price; one of my favorite • Earl Grey: the bergamot is very strong; might be better with a lighter brewing • English Breakfast: pretty good, but I've had better • Irish Breakfast: very good; definitely one of my favorites; malty and rich; excellent with milk • Lapsang Souchong: absolutely horrid; tastes like ashes from a campfire; I brewed it once because it was so bad • Scottish Breakfast: I was hoping for the same level as the Irish Breakfast, but it's not on par; very granular and a low to mid quality tea • Yunnan: absolutely delicious; a strong contender for the best; much lighter and difficult to mess up; would make a good iced tea

Best Black Tea I've Had
1st - Great flavor. Nothing like grocery store brands. 2nd - Ordering again. Has a really robust flavor. I'll be ordering every month.

Quality decline!
I have been ordering the 1lb bag of Assam on repeat for years. It was always a dark rich quality tea that was my favorite (shown in 3rd picture). The last time I ordered it was mixed with a lot of dried out inferior tea (2nd picture). I contacted the company and they said they don't have control over the Amazon store's manufacturing and packaging of the tea. I considered maybe it was just a bad batch and months later I thought I would try again. The third picture is the bag I recently opened, again mixed with a lot of dried up inferior tea leaves. I am very disappointed as a long time customer drinking this tea regularly for years. I will try next time ordering directly from the company website to see if that makes a difference. Update: I had started ordering directly from the company's website despite having to pay extra for shipping and the last two orders were the usual good quality I had been ordering for years. Sadly this last time I ordered and it is the mixed dried out "tea" just like through Amazon. Seems the company in general has quality decline and is mixing it with who knows what. I'm really bummed, will have to find another company that makes a quality black tea.
