Anyone else have problems that the wheels rub on the wheel arches? It’s preventing ‘smooth operation’ whilst using the app...??!!

Absolutely! I had to "Modify" the design as whenever the steering was on full lock the front wheels rubbed against the arches and wouldn't move really. Is a shame as without the front arches it does spoil the aesthetic, but I'd rather actually be able to use it.

Will this work on android phone ?

I use my android tablet to operate this ralley car. Go to the play store, download the Lego app. If the Lego app is not compatible with your phone you will be advised accordingly. I am sure that the Lego app is compatible with android phones. I hope this answered your question.

Do I need to buy a remote

No you dont need to buy a remote. Once the build is completed, download the Lego app on either a smart phone or a tablet. It's the Control + app. Once downloaded, you need to introduce the app.and car to each other. Open up the app, choose the Lego 42109 Rally Car. The app will guide you. Switch on the power box inside the car. The app and.car will now calibrate that is getting to know each other. Once calibrated, use the controls on the app to drive your car. Works via Bluetooth.
