Review: The Best Outdoor Speakers I've Ever Heard!! - A little background...I'm a music fanatic and I have music playing all around my house (we have acreage) as well as inside. I have bought many different outdoor speakers over the years. I have some el-cheapos, I have a set of the old style Bose 151 Environmentals that are not bad for small speakers, I have a set of Polk Atrium 45's that are excellent small outdoor speakers. I also had a set of Polk Patio speakers for my pool and patio area. They blew last weekend, so I needed some new ones, and I wanted some really great ones. After doing some research, I was torn between these, the larger Polk Atriums, and the Definitives. I think they would all be fine speakers, but I am a Klipsch fan and I liked the look of these, so I placed my order. I received them today and have been playing them for about 4 hours. At first, they sounded a bit hollow. But after about 30 minutes of play time, they started smoothing out. Wow, these sound great. The base response is the best I have heard from outdoor speakers. I have weatherproof subs that I built, but I turned them off to see how these sounded without them, and the bass is pretty impressive. But where these really shine is where all Klipsch speakers shine...the clarity of the mids and highs. They are crystal clear and sounds like guitar and horns project from the horn tweeters far better than you will get from most speakers. They are bright, but not too bright. Some extra brightness is usually needed outside anyway, because it's a wide open area. And these fill the bill perfectly. On my last speakers, I had to run the treble at +6 and the bass at +3. I have the bass at 0 and the treble at +1 on these, and they sound much better than the Polk Patios did. I can sit all the way on the other side of the pool and hear every little nuance of the music I'm playing. No kidding...this system sounds far better than most indoor systems! I will update after I've played these for a month or so, but so far I am loving them. I suspect they will only get better. Can't wait for the next pool party where I'm sure to impress my guests with the sound. Good listening! Update- They are probably fully broken in now, and they sound better than ever. Review: Klipsch Never Disappoints! - To this day, I've never had any difficulty reviewing Klipsch speakers as all of my main speakers are and have been over many years, Klipsch, so I kinda feel I just might possess enough "street-cred" to give them a worthy review. Presently, I'm using a Denon AVR x4800h receiver with 125watt/channel to run my 7.1 main zone in our living room, which, IMHO, is outstanding, but I needed a pair of really nice quality speakers for my patio, because sitting out there listening to the sub-par Bluetooth speakers just isn't cutting it anymore. I did take my time and spent a lot of it looking around for the right speakers because, I know the good ones, at least to me, can be and usually are a little pricey and then may or may not deliver the waves you were hoping for. Fortunately, I found these on desertcart, and at 53% off, that's an O.M.G! in my book. And what a perfect addition for the patio! It didn't take me long to unbox (which the boxing alone was excellent), install and crank the juice to these impressive, Klipsch speakers. The Denon has additional Zone options which allows one to wire speakers in different areas and use all the amplifier's options to run them. Suffice to say, these exceeded my expectations, and they were high as I expected and was hoping for another great experience coming from "The Keepers of The Sound." Without a doubt, everything from the killer bass to the Mids and Highs, all were absolutely outstanding! I spaced them approximately 15 to 20 feet apart, angled slightly downwards since they're not exactly at listening level, but after all was said and done, the sounds meld together so perfectly that they give the impression they're mounted directly behind my head and my tympanics are doing the "soft-shoe" dance. I have a need for my music to be clear, crisp and usually loud, and that also means it has to have as little of distortion as possible, so it becomes an almost a spiritual experience instead of a fatiguing one. Again, the clarity with zero distortion at the loudness I play them, not to mention they're suitable for outside use and should be able to withstand almost everything Mother Nature has to throw at them, which is another impressive attribute. For my review, I couldn't give them anything but my highest recommendation for price, style, quality of outrageous sound across all 3 spectrums, and knowing they were made by, again, the Keepers of The Sound, it's a safe bet, these will last and provide great neural sensations for many years to come. 5 Stars all day long for all the above.

**Q: What warranty is included with these speakers? Is there an additional cost for the warranty?**
A: I believe there is a Klipsch warranty but only when you purchase from an approved reseller. You can see the approved vendor list at Klipsch here - https://www.klipsch.com/authorized-online-dealers. When you purchase a product on Amazon, the Seller is clearly listed below the product. There are several vendors who sell the Klipsch AW-650 but only a few are approved Klipsch vendors. On a related note, I'm dumfounded by the massive price discrepancy for a set of these speakers. I have an option to purchase a set for ~330.00 or ~550.00 all because of what Klipsch dictates. Unless these are forgeries, I don't see why Klipsch can't stand behind their product regardless.

**Q: How is the bass on these? i have  bose 251 and they sound great but very little bass. looking for a little more bass.**
A: In a word, excellent for a 6.5 inch driver, which alone is a significant improvement over the 251's 5.5 inch driver.  I have not felt the need to add outdoor subs although I'm sure I'd like the sound even better if I did.  The voicing combination of the horn loaded tweeter with the 6.5 inch middie-woofer is quite good with the 650's, especially if you drive them with enough power.

**Q: If mounted vertically is there a way to tilt it down? It looks like it only swivels left to right**
A: Seems like even though the supplied brackets can't allow it to tilt down if you mount it vertically (they only swivel from side-to-side), it does have the additional threading to mount it vertically on 3rd party brackets, which should be able to tilt in all directions.  Obviously an additional expense to buy the other mounting brackets, though.

**Q: Might be a foolish question, but can these speakers be out in the elements (all 4 seasons of weather) uncovered and still be okay?**
A: They’re made to withstand all 4 seasons but it’s smart to use them under eaves so they don’t get cooked by the sun, they’re made out of plastic and the daily exposure to sun rays would make the plastic weaker with time, never expose them directly to the elements, try to hide them from the sun and rain if possible without blocking their sound dispersion, if you do that they easily would last you 12-15 years or even longer.
