Amazing photos and great price
Great device, easy to use and amazing quality for the price. Similar 360 cams are almost twice the price for the same spec.

Superb camera
Excellent video and still image quality. Incredibly good value for money!

Very good quality. App not very user friendly and a little clunky.
Really like it. I bought this from Amazon Warehouse for £207, saving around £60 against new. And to be fair it was in immaculate condition, just as new. Image quality and video is very good, much better than my old Theta SC. You can tell it’s 4K. The app lets it down slightly. It seems a little clunky and not too user friendly. But once you get the hang of it it works. App feels like it was built for an older iPhone. Sometimes the video is jerky and flickers and I’m not sure why. But overall it produces good image quality. I mainly use it for still and not video.

Wretched
This camera is horrible in so many ways. When I first bought it it was possible to take some photos and videos and download them to my mac. The quality was pretty poor, very grainy, and the videos are limited to 3 minutes max duration, which is not good enough for what we want to use it for. No obvious way to upgrade storage either. I have since tried using it again and the smartphone app connects, but can't see any images/videos and the USB cable to the mac does much the same. It's not particularly cheap, either. I am not trying to return it but, of course, it's outside the 30 day Amazon return window so a manufacturer call needed. So much time wasted and more to come!! If you decide to buy one do please test it quickly so you can get it returned under Amazon's warranty....

A decent beginner 360 camera, but there are better ones available.
The Ricoh Theta SC2 is a decent beginner camera for 360 photos. However, don’t expect photos to be as good quality and resolution as normal photos even ones shot using a mobile phone. In general, 360 cameras cost a lot more than equivalent normal cameras with the same specifications. The Ricoh Theta SC2 photos are soft and slightly blurred especially when you zoom in, despite the resolution specifications of the camera. 360 photos are intended to look around an area without the need to zoom in. 360 cameras cannot focus on a specific subject where exposure and colour saturation can be adjusted, but instead 360 cameras take a general photo of everything meaning more editing and processing using PC photo software afterwards. Camera is small and light to easily carry around. It comes with a protective pouch as standard. It has a timer button in case you are using a tripod, although I prefer to use the remote control accessory (bought separately). Using the tripod stick accessory (bought separately) allows me to take photos from different angles or up high. The stick screws onto the bottom of the camera securely. Having the remote control accessory (bought separately) allows me to take photos easily without having to press the camera shutter button or using the mobile app. If you use the camera shutter button, there is more of your hand in the photos. The shutter speed is quick enough for me and takes photos instantly. It is not intended to take photos of fast moving subjects. You can record a 360 video, however, the camera can only record 3 minutes of video before it stops. You then have to start recording a video again, which means I have to keep recording videos in 3 minute intervals. It would have been good to record videos for longer. Images are usually too dark unless shooting in bright sunshine. I have to do lots of post-editing of the photos on my PC to increase general exposure and also brightness in shadows. There are features in the camera to increase brightness, but some features only work if the camera is connected to a tripod and kept perfectly still (these features don’t work if a person is holding the camera). There is also a feature where the camera will adjust exposure based on each individual lens, however, this is only suitable if one lens is facing a bright area and the other lens is facing a dark area (this feature is not suitable if there are both bright and dark areas scattered around both lens). You can adjust exposure using the mobile app, but this means messing about with the mobile app every time you want to take a photo, plus Wi-Fi connection between the camera and mobile app is very hit-and-miss. Due to the many photos I take, I prefer using a stand-alone camera. Some of the features can only be turned on or adjusted using the mobile app. However, I rarely use the mobile app as I prefer to use the camera as a stand-alone camera. Ricoh needs to allow more features to be controlled using the camera and not the app. Purple fringing is really bad in some photos, especially if there is a high degree of contrast between light and dark edges. I have to do lots of post-editing of the photos to remove purple fringing. There are often red spots in photos caused by glare from the sun or other light sources hitting the lenses. I have to do lots of post-editing of the photos to remove these red spots. Using a 360 camera is very different to using a standard camera, and takes some practice to get the best shots. Whereas normal cameras focus on a subject, 360 cameras mean nothing is hidden and everything becomes the subject including the photographer. It means being more aware of other people around you, as people may not like to appear on photos, and hence timing the photos to reduce the chance of people being in the photos. To take photos without being in the photo means using a tripod stick to hold the camera above your head, and then deleting yourself using photo editing software afterwards. 360 photos take a lot more editing in photo software on my PC than standard photos, partly due to the problems caused by the Ricoh Theta SC2 camera.

Exactly the same as insta360
I haven’t used the 360, but I got this little one to see if I would use/enjoy filming my rides on the motorbike and I can say, honestly, I’m quite impressed with the usability. Slightly disappointed that it doesn’t continuously record and I’d need to hit the big button every 3 mins to capture a whole journey, but I’m still impressed! 4k quality, sound records good but I don’t really need that. And the two separate apps to download (one to transfer media from the device and manage them ect and another to edit) are user friendly! For £129, next day delivery.. can not complain! One annoying thing is, the accessories to mount, and waterproof are silly expensive.

360 for sale but do a 180 and walk away
So I’ve had a few cameras the 2 Samsung cameras, xiaomi mi sphere , insta 360 one x. I’ve also used other cameras. My one X had damaged lenses so I’ve been wanting a new camera for a while. I mostly use my camera for general 360 memories and making Tinyplanet’s - tinyplanet_360 I had decided that I was fine with losing some features and picture quality as I would just use this for little planets. But to take a photo took far too long. I tend to hold my camera up and take quick snaps so this just wouldn’t work for me. If you’re buying normal cameras I feel you can buy cheaper options and for most people you’ll still be getting very decent results. With 360 cameras they have come along a lot in the last few years especially for video. This is an item I don’t think you can cheap out on. I sent this straight back even though with the Amazon warehouse deal I got this for £145. I feel I’ve already said too much when what I want to say is simply do not buy this camera.
