Perfect Point Throwing Knife Set with Stainless Steel Handle, Nylon Sheath, Well Balanced, Target Sports (060 Black)

Nicely sized for short to mid-range throwing. The knives are balanced and simple with good sticking power despite a lack of weight. An excellent starter set if you are just looking for quantity over expensive quality knives to get in tons of practice. I've found that throwing against harder surfaces (wood as opposed to cardboard) tends to bend the tips, so if you plan to do a lot of throwing against solid wood boards, you'll want a good hammer and something hard and flat (stone or metal bar) to straighten any bent points when you finish. The cord has unraveled from all the knives so I just removed it completely. 1 year Update: I am updating this review as I've had these knives for over a year and they remain quite handy. I've lost a couple since I got the set, but none of the knives has broken despite my heavy use. When I first got these I spent about three months doing heavy throwing primarily against boxes stuffed with old magazines, which makes for an excellent stick and prevents the tips from bending. So a year later, I definitely still recommend these as a starter kit.

Great gift for boys. It has good balance, very sharp, and it's a great product for the price.

Smaller than one would expect. Balance enough to throw, without a spin, and hit your target from 6-7 feet. Only a pinky will fit in the holes - so, very small. The string, wrapped around the handle(s), will come off/undone, three throws out. My suggestion to avoid this is to use [candle] wax to hold the end together. This is only temporary - the strings WILL come off. [Repurpose the string(s), if possible.] The carrying case these came in is nice but, why? I don't really see a function of this case, with these knives, past the initial opening. The function of the case is to simply store this amount of knives, when not in use. The act of putting these knives away - back in this case - will expose any tips that you have bent, in the very slightest.

Great affordable fun for the new user. They are wrapped in red, but this has been a lifetime hobby & I always paint my knives a bright hot pink or the like. People go everywhere to throw them, but this makes it easy to find them in deep thicket & brush. And your Uncle Danny. I love the 10 nylon sheath.

So my daughter has been reading 'The 4th Wing' series and I thought it would be fun to get her some throwing knives! They are cheap and there are a lot of them so I was not worried about it too much. Yeah they are super light weight and that actually makes them harder to throw. But she feels like a hero chucking them in the backyard. I'll get her some heavier ones now that I know she likes them. I wonder if there are alloy hilted ones.....

They bend to easily, the red strung came off after a few uses, some of them broke after less then 30 minuts but they are sharp and cheap and easy to use but I can just bend them back and sharpen them myself

They are good for a beginner, All the comments saying they break easily the wrap comes off and so so forth. I threw each one about 50 times, and only 1 wrap came off about halfway through, but it still is good. as far as the tips breaking, They break if you throw them into something they wearnt made to stick into. for me i was in my garage using cardboard, with a backslash of the garage door. the tips bent for me. and some broke off. keep in mind about 2 millimeters. After 30 minutes or so of practice, i went and fixed them up sharpened the end and now they work like they did before i threw them each 50 times. my point is if you take care of the set of knives they will have minimum wear and tear.

For the price it's a great value little set. They do feel a little cheap in the hand but no worse than you would imagine for the price.

They're cheap but they stick. You're not paying for quality but they do the trick. Fun to flick...Stop rhyming.
