Worth well! Good quality tool and the connectors are good quality as well.

I have been using electrical fasteners for decades and have always used the standard wire stripper/connector squeezer pliers for securing connectors to wire. I wish I had bought this tool years ago. It secures the connector first time, every time.... as long as you do your part. The connectors themselves are fine connectors. They are generic and that is fine for nearly all applications but the most important ones. BUY THIS TOOL NOW! I highly recommend this whole kit.

Not high end like the ones we use at work but did the job with my stereo install.

Nice crimper. I think the problem some have with it not crimping correctly is they are putting the terminal in the jaws from wrong direction. The terminal end should be facing right looking down as shown in photo. Is a bit confusing which way to do it because color markings are on the left side and many would think to put the terminal in from that side. Good selection of terminals although maybe not super beefy when it comes to the eyelets.

for the price getting the tool is fairly reasonable and it works fairly well. However -while the variety of terminals and splices in the kit is nice, the quality is not. I have worked in electronics professionally in the past, and I still do tons of electronic work on the side. I used these for a couple of applications- and it took a bit to get the wire side to grip the wire. the last straw was when i had a somewhat critical application and every butt splice that I pulled from this kit allowed the wire to slip right off- even with the addition of using a second crimp tool to add more crunch. I finally went and found a pack of better quality butt splice and visibly compared them. These use a thinner metal, and they take the difference from the inside of the diameter, not the outside- this means the barrel is not as tight. the thinner gauge material also allows less strength and more flex which would allow the wires to pull out. With the higher quality splice I got not from this kit it held securely immediately and no worry. So- I like the tool enough, but I would only use the splices in non critical applications, and where you can do the work easilt access the connections.
