Antique finish looks great and the tack are well made.
I built a stitching pony for my wife. She decided later to add leather padding to the clamping surface but fabric spray adhesive didn't hold on to the leather. I used these to tack the leather to the wood of the pony. The antique finish looks great against the black leather. The tacks are sharp and easy to push the tip into poplar wood. They can handle using a mallet to seat them. I also had to remove a couple and the heads did not separate from the pins so they are well made

They hold well
Great for upholstery projects. I do alit of refinishing furniture and these are great to keep fabric tacked down.

The perfect choice for my project
I ordered these for an antler mount project to decoratively add a faux fur cover over the skull. Worked perfectly. I had a couple of the pins fold over when I was pushing/lightly hammering them in but that commonly happens with all upholstery tacks plus they are very affordable so tossing out a couple was no big deal. Very happy with the look, function and value.

Color Darker Than Expected - Quality is great!
I bought these tacks to pair with leather strap for woodworking projects. The combo looks great, although the tacks are darker in color than I anticipated. I wanted them to be a lighter brass as pictured, so that’s the reason for 4 stars. Otherwise they’re amazing for the price! These are very sturdy and hold up well under pressure - I was able to get them through a thick piece of leather and into a piece of pine hardwood.

Good quality tacks - finish and durability
I needed about 2-dozen tacks for a project and landed on these for the price. I wanted a tack that wasn't going to bend/break. These fit the bill. I'm using them to attach and add accent to a 1/4" thick leather strip being bound to pine wood (with adhesive). I'm using an awl to punch the leather and the wood, which allows the tack to go in about half to 3/4 of the way, and then I used a rubber mallet to finish driving the tack in. I did bend 1 tack because I did not properly prepare the hole. If you intend to use this with wood, and do not prepare the wood, it will likely bend. I ordered an awl from Amazon for about $3.00 when I ordered these and I'm glad I did. I've used the awl for a few other projects since I've had it.. I have plenty of these left over for future projects and would buy again if I ran out and needed more.

Nice tacks...Perfect for a period look
I used these tacks for a piece of custom retro furniture im making. I will be using the to hold a piece of leather for a seat in place. Im looking for a nice retro look for my backwoods cabin.

Good value but not for hard wood
I bought these as I'm refinishing a teak chair. They look good, but they're not strong enough for a hard wood application. I ended up wasting as much as a third of the box as they bend easily unless you get them in really straight. They also mark on the top as you have to hit them quite hard to penetrate the wood so use some tape or something similar over the end of your hammer. I think these would be just fine for softer wood applications.
