A pack of three will last you for 2-3 years. They have long durability and do not produce a "rubbery" scent/flavor on the coffee. I like the fact that silicone is FDA grade and that these are made in Italy. This is the real deal in Italy, Portugal, Spain, etc. And they KNOW their coffee. You cannot go wrong with these silicone gaskets and filter screen. I usually use this stove coffee maker to produce similar to espresso coffee quality without a fancy/expensive machine. I use my coffee maker twice a day, every day. I'll be buying the larger size for the 4cup pot as well.They seal well and don't seem to crease from.the pressure of tightening the top on like the rubber ones do, eventually deteriorating. It's also easier to rinse hese off where fine bits of coffee would sometimes stick in the rubber gasket, especially as it was more worn.I would definitely recommend these if your looking.
