do not waste your time buying this product! the safe arrived damaged with 3 huge dents in it because the manufacturer is too cheap to pack styrofoam around the edges! the handle was broken off as well, again too cheap to put a piece of styrofoam around it and the box itself is paper thin! the safe weighs over 100 pounds! the thing showed up, i cut open the box, saw all the damage and couldn't even open the safe door! oh and since it was broken the handle was nothing but a cheap thin, hollow piece of plastic! $500 dollar safe with a plastic handle? This thing is complete worthless garbage! i had to wait for the entire weekend for ups to come back and pick it up! this 120 pound hunk of junk sitting next to my front door for 5 days! do not buy it, learn from my experience! this company should be put out of business, it has to be some kind of insurance scam! oh and the product is made in china!

Only give 5 stars to things that are better than I expect them to be. This is a nice safe that will do what I want. But be careful! When you turn it upside down to get the bolt down "plug" out, the door comes off. Luckily it did not hit the floor or break anything, but the door is heavy. With the door off, installation was definitely easier which is a plus. Instructions to program the combination were very clear and easy to follow.

I received this item quickly however the handle was discovered broken upon opening the box. There seems to be a shipping problem with this item. I will contact FireKing and try to get them to send me a new handle. The handle is very easy to replace with a few basic tools, much easier than packaging up the item and sending the whole safe back. I'll update this review as I progress through my claim with FireKing. Right now I'm using an Alan Wrench to open the door. Update 5/14/2019: I used the chat feature on the FireKing website. It took about 13 minutes for a CS rep to answer. I provided the serial number on the front of the safe, my shipping address, and "Heather" assured me a new handle will be sent out. Update 6/4/2019: I received the new handle. It takes all of about 5 minutes to replace the handle. The broken handle is an unfortunate part of shipping these, and I've seen similar complaints for other brands. I did not see any other cosmetic damage on mine. I'm pleased with the safe, after having used it now for a few weeks. I like that the key is not one of those bicycle locks defeated with a BIC pen. The electronic locking mechanism is not supposed to be susceptible to magnetic attacks, though I have not tried myself.

I bought this and only opened it 2 weeks later when I moved. It had a couple dent in the door, and a huge on in one corner. Did not render it non-functional.....still. That said, I love it. Heavy enough to not easily be carried by two men, good secure door, knob for mechanical combination is sound and works exceptionally smooth. Large inside with a movable shelf and a drawered compartment. Much better quality, IMO, than what Sentry is putting out these days.

I bought one that came in and had a small dent. No big deal I used it in my store. Then I ordered one for another store and it came in dented and the handle broken off. So I returned and the replacement had the handle broken off. Then I returned that one and the next was dented around the hinge where it couldn't open. And on the FOURTH one it came in and dented in the corner where the door doesn't work without pulling really hard which given the handle quality isn't gonna work for doing that I give up

Safe arrived damaged. I sent it back and got a better one. When the battery runs out the codes stop working. The battery is not accessible from the outside so you must have the keys to open it. When the battery dies all your codes are wiped as well so you have to start over. Really annoying. Bad design.

This is a solid safe and just the right size for our important documents and handguns. The only issue was a small dent in the lower front left corner, but nothing major and didn't effect the solidness of the safe. I imagine it was just something in the shipping. We are so happy with the ability to have 2 passcode for it and the back up set of keys.

If you want a safe that - Has an electronic lock - Can be bolted to the floor - Is fire proof - Has any water protection This is pretty much the only product out there. First Alert supposedly makes a similar item, but its hard to find and even harder to buy since vendors tend to "accidentally" confuse product descriptions or send out the wrong item. Anyway, the features on this safe all work great. It bolts to the floor easily and feels nice and sturdy. Highly recommended.
