Radial BigShot EFX True Bybass Effects Loop Switcher

This thing very easy to setup and is built like a tank! The ground lift feature is great. I use this with my Dr. Z Maz 18. I have Loop 1 setup for a clean sound with a compressor, 2 delays and slight chorus; Loop 2 has an overdrive and delay. With this configuration, I can have three different sounds, including just the guitar direct to the amp (both loops off). Of course, when a loop is engaged I still have access to my pedals to turn them on our off. However, I find I pretty much use these three basic sounds. I also use an EP Booster after the loops for a solo boost.This is a very versatile unit and the instruction manual is very clear and provides some good and practical examples - for instance, using this in your amp's effects loop.There are no LED's to indicate which loop is on/off, but that doesn't matter to me - it's pretty obvious which loop I've engaged. Also, adding LED's would increase the cost and size of the unit, and I'm not willing to pay the extra for features I do not need or use. YMMV.I find the Big Shot EFX to be transparent and extremely useful. It's staying on my pedalboard.

Very useful when running lot of true bypass pedals and saves your tone between and your guitar and amplifier...really keeps the signal intact ...i loved it and it doesn't need power thats also a good thing ....

I use to take out my looper who is very nosily. Work perfect. The other loop I use it to put all the non true by pass pedal. You will hear the signal better and clear.

Radial has a good reputation for good reason. This bypass unit is no exception to the rule. It is very well made and does what it was made to do.

Wrong product.

I bought the BigShot EFX Effects Loop in Nov 2007 hoping it would work like an amp effects loop, of course it didn't which is ok. It sat on the shelf until a month ago when I started running my Line 6 X3 Live thru Loop 1 to switch between my amp's natural sound and the X3 Live sounds. It worked great, glad I finally had a use for it.Yesterday I added a Line 6 POD 2.0 to Loop 2 so I could compare the X3 Live and the POD units easily, but Loop 1 instantly died and it prevented ANY signal from getting through to my amp.I thought the X3 Live and my amp both died, but testing revealed it was the Loop 1 foot switch. I now have to step on the Loop 1 foot switch a bunch of times (20+) to get any signal through the EFX Effects Loop again. I thought the Loop 2 foot switch still worked, but it is acting just like the Loop 1 foot switch.The Radial Eng. foot switches are warranted for only 90 days. So I paid $90 for a month's use? I won't buy new replacement BigShot EFX Effects Loop and instead contacted Radial Eng. for the name of a repair shop near me. I now worry how long my two ABY switches will work.
