Take your music collection on the road. This cable gives you the convenient ability to control and listen to your iPod from your factory installed Kia stereo. The simple one cable connection eliminates the bulky adapter box found with many iPod adapters. This cable is 12โ long and features a 30-pin iPod plug on one end and a 3.5mm/USB on the other. Review: Works great! (2013 Kia Forte) - Works as advertised. I plugged it into the port and when I hooked up my iPhone 4 the audio immediately switched to playing a song on my iPhone. On the radio display the "Menu" button can be used to access playlists, songs, artists. Use the tuning knob on the radio to scroll through and make selections. From there you can use the steering wheel controls for volume and to skip songs. Exactly what I was looking for! The cord is stiff and short about 8-10 inches end to end (eyeball measurement). The stiffness makes me feel like it can be easily damaged if forced into an unnatural position, but I don't know that for sure. That's just what the cord feels like to me. I'll be careful with it, and maybe even order a back up. Still a good deal at the price. Cord comes with no documentation about use or instructions. Review: I thought it was the wrong cable at first-But it works! - I tried to plug in my ipod Nano 3rd Gen. and it looked like the ipod end wasnt quite right. I tried several time in 2 different ipods, and even googled to see if they changed the power plug at any point. I finally took my fingernail and messed with a metal piece in the charger end, and it made enough room for it to accept the ipod. Maybe just a quality control thing- obviously it was never tested beforehand. On that note, The USB end of the cable went in perfectly it "clicked" in...and appears to have a solid connection. But it definately works, Once i plugged both ends in, My (2013 Kia Sportage-LS- No UVO) My screen said "Connecting" and then I could see the artist and title as well as utilize the steering wheel controls! I'm happy with the purchase, But as mentioned- if at first it doesnt fit look at the contacts on the cable and mine were too close together, but with a fingernail and 2 seconds I'm good to go!

Working perfect !
I've got the this cable yesterday after a bit more than two weeks, it was faster than I expected , i am from Israel, so it travled more than 10,000 KM to reach me. I am driving the Kia Forte Sedan 2012 , i've connected my iphone 4 with IOS 5.01 (JailBreaked) and like a magic it turned on and start playing music from the IPod library, i have full control from the car wheel controls over the iPhone,i can see which song is played on the radio panel, and the quality is outstanding. its worth every dolar i've spent on it (12.95$ isnt that much). very recommanded for every kia/hyundai owner.

Works until it stops working.
This is the second iPod cable I've purchased for Kia/Hyundai cars, and my experience has been the same both times. The cable works great for a month or two...then it just stops working altogether. The car stops recognizing the iPod/iPhone at all. If you're lucky, jiggling the cable or holding it at a certain angle will make the car recognize the iPod/iPhone for a song or two, but it always ends up failing again. Don't waste your money on this one. It's ridiculously cheap, but ordering a new one every two months is a hassle and waste of materials (if not money) I neither need nor want. I plan to speak to a dealership to see if an official Kia/Hyundai version actually exists. If theirs fails, at least I'll have someone to return it to and complain to.

Does what it's supposed to do
This cable works perfectly with my 2010 Kia Soul+ and old iPod Nano, and I'm very glad to have saved $40 by purchasing through Amazon instead of my dealership. The first time I plugged the cable in, it only gave me static, although it was showing the artist and song name. Turns out it wasn't in all the way; I had to jiggle it around and use a little bit of brute force to get the USB half in, which made me nervous, but it's been fine since. The sound quality is excellent, and I love being able to see the song titles. (I was using a regular iPod cable, but it wouldn't play all of my songs, and it would only allow you to shuffle the songs. You also couldn't see the song title unless you pressed the "Info" button on the console.) Navigation through the steering wheel buttons can be a bit cumbersome, so I would recommend selecting an artist or playlist from your device before starting the vehicle.

Works wonderful, no major problems
I bought this product 4 months ago. So far no problems. It does seem to fit a bit too snug (i.e difficult to detach), but I keep it plugged in all of the time since I don't attach any other MP3 devices to my stereo so not really an issue for me. If I were frequently swapping devices it might be an issue over time. However I haven't found any other devices or manufacturers of this accessory so it is what it is. Sound quality is crystal clear and it hasn't failed after daily use for four months. Overall a pretty good value!

A-
Just got this in the mail. Very sturdy although I would prefer the cord to be longer. Also if you have a case on your iphone the charging piece isnt long enough to attach through the case. Works as described although it did cut off randomly once and I had to unplug it then plug it back in to the iphone. Im using this with my a 2011 Kia optima no nav, the song titles and controls pop up on the screen and your able to control it from the steering wheel or stereo face itself. One thing i dont like is that once you plug it in, you can no longer use your iphone screen to control your music only the car controls

So far so good...(4 months later, it doesn't work anymore!)
I just received this cord yesterday. I have a 2010 Kia Sportage and an iPhone 5. This works with the lightening pin adapter. With this cord, I can control my iTunes through either my phone or the car stereo. If you listen to audio books with Audible, it will show the book info on the car stereo unit as well. I'm psyched that this actually works...I was nervous because of the mixed reviews. Hopefully it withstands the test of time! Updated 9/24/13: The cord completely crapped out over the weekend. At first, it stopped charging. About two weeks later, the audio stopped working. It was great while it lasted.
