Even though this was a heart breaking purchase, my father, who was diagnosed with grade 4 glioblastoma accepted it and saw the value in the gift he could provide. This is beautiful and I really hope your loved one is in a place to be able to use this.

Perfect gift, treasured still

This book is a variation on a common gift - letters of some sort to be opened by a loved one on a specific day. The projects are all the rage on pinterest and etsy, and are all, without exception, absolutely adorable. This is the version for lazy people like me who want to write letters without also having to get amazing and creative. (If you want to know how lazy I am, well, I got this to give to my husband for Christmas but I still haven't finished the letters.) The pages are definitely designed so that one can just write a short letter on each page, then seal that for a later date. I feel that is almost too restricting, as it's going to be harder to manage if I make a mistake or want to write a lot on one specific page. I would have preferred envelopes with a few pieces of stationery in each. But, the way this book is made, it's easy enough to glue or tape up the sides of any page, and then it turns into a sort of envelope. I might alternate between that and keeping the single page letter. Overall, this is a really good book. The quality is high, and it's not overwhelmingly cutesy or sentimental. There is definitely room to decorate it and make it really personal, but if you care more about writing special messages and getting it done, you'll end up with a gorgeous gift simply by sealing up each page. I believe there are several versions of this book. If I ever manage to finish this one, I'll definitely look into starting another. I can't think of a more romantic gift.

I cannot wait to write these letters when I meet that special someone. The design is incredibly creative where the letters fold out but still remain a part of the book, within the binding. The prompts are very helpful, although there are a few blank ones at the end so you can make up your own responses. I love how there's stickers included to seal your envelopes. Such a great gift idea for a spouse! The only potential problem I see is that you're limited to a page for each letter. If you write a lot like I do, you're going to have to keep your responses short! You can probably add an additional piece of paper inside before you seal it, but it might make the book bulkier.

there are 12 prompts, the last 2 have no prompt so you can write whatever you feel. It’s so cute and a sweet gesture, you can’t take the letters out which I think is also cute but there’s no dotted line to rip if you wanted to. You’ll have to put a book under the letter to fully write but I love it!
