Will these hold heavy, tall stuff even in some wind?** A: If you pound them in at an angle pointing inward (towards your skeleton), they will hold well. Not sure if you are using any guy wires but if so, anchor them in the same fashion. **Q: Are these hammered into the ground? I have very rocky soil with clay and wondering if this will get through the ground** A: These are the sturdiest ground stakes I have purchased to date. They are actually rebar, not a cheap substitute. I used these to secure the bottom of our chain link fence, and not a single one has shown signs of failure. I do have some fairly rocky/creek bottom soil along a long stretch of that fence, and these hammered right in. I did use a bit of 2x4 block to protect the top while hammering in the Rocky section. Everything else in just hammered in. I hope this helps **Q: How easily do these bend?** A: They will not bend. They are easy to use and since they go a fair distance into the ground, they ought to hold the swing when we have fairly strong winds. They were delivered in a very timely manner and are being used as I write this.
