Will it work with a 34" 21:9 monitor? I know it says up to 27" but the monitors would be of same height, and would be under weight limit.

How wide is the mounting clamp on the foot of the stand?

four inches wide and 2 1/4 inches deep. The screws are wide so you will need an extra 1/2 inch on all three sides to be able to tighten them. It would be possible to use regular screws pushing against a plate. The kit also comes with gear to drill through the desk instead of the mounting clamp.
