Great pack for the money
So many backpacks are very expensive. As a traveler who needs a medium size pack for a 3 week trip to Europe, this pack is absolutely perfect. It is a great price point, sturdy enough, soft enough to roll up and pack, and does't add to the weight of the carry on. It has good pockets, secure zippers and holds a great deal. I am very happy with it.

Perfect beach bag, especially lightweight and packable for air travel.
This bag worked wonderfully as a beach bag for our recent Florida trip. It is very lightweight and folds very compactly for traveling in a suitcase. Once expanded it is large! There are so many pockets for organization, and the wet pocket in the back is a huge plus if using as a beach bag. I was worried about the shoulder straps not being padded, but they ended up being quite comfortable! The shoulder straps are wide, and with the addition of the chest strap, I had zero problems loading this bag up and carrying it comfortably. This bag is absolute perfection in every way for what we needed it for. It's durable, too, and I know we will be using this for many years for our travel needs. I also think it would work well as a carry-on or personal item for plane travel unless you are carrying a laptop. There is no padded sleeve for protection, but since we were mainly using it as a beach bag, this was not a concern for us. Very happy with this bag!

The best travel backpack
OMG I love this bag. I will never take a trip that requires packing more than fits in this bag. It weighs almost nothing in itself but feels sturdy enough to carry a full load. The pockets are thoughtful. The chest strap is useful. The color makes it hard to leave behind accidentally on a train, plane or Uber. My only suggestion for improvement would be to add a hip strap. I managed to do this by pilfering one off of my much smaller REI backpack.

Got the job done on a 2 week trip to Scotland
Just got back from an epic two-week hiking escapade in Scotland, and I've got to give a massive shoutout to the Lightweight Packable Hiking Backpack – it's a real winner! Just a few things I wanted to call attention to in my review: Weather Warrior (Almost!): Scotland's weather is like a moody teenager, but this backpack mostly held its own. My stuff stayed mostly dry the whole time, in the exception of extreme down ours, which sometimes moisture would line the inside slightly, but this only happened once in a real drencher. No soggy socks or electronics emergencies – so that's a win! Room for All the Things: Looks can be deceiving – this bad boy swallows gear like there's no tomorrow. My clothes, gadgets, snacks – they all found a home. Plus, the sneaky pockets kept my map and munchies within arm's reach. One Tiny Quibble: If I had to nitpick, a little instruction on how to collapse this magic bag into its packable state would've been a cherry on top. It took some trial and error to figure it out, but once I did, it was smooth sailing. Bottom Line: It's earned its spot as my new favorite adventuring buddy! Or must I say my partner's, as they carried it most the time (haha), but it was comfortable, light weight, and the straps really helped with decreasing back pain. I would recommend this bag for anyone looking for an affordable pack for short hikes and overseas trips.

Worth it!
My 12 yr old son loves this backpack! He used it for a week long bike trip and it was worth the money! The size is perfect for his age as well(he will also be using it for the upcoming school year). There is a laptop pocket so it makes it pretty versatile for him. He said it was pretty comfortable. It was way to clean any dirt off the outside of it and the zippers are great.

Great Travel backpack
I have used this backpack on a couple of trips so far, and it has been very good. I feel like it’s the right size. It holds a lot. And it has just the right amount of pockets. Several of them are zipper pockets, which is great for passports, foreign currency, etc. The straps are good too. I like that there is a strap that goes across my chest when I am wearing the backpack. It keeps it from slipping. There is a small strap for the side pockets that hold water bottles, which comes in quite handy. I feel like this is engineered quite well. I purchased the orange one, and am very happy with it.

The perfect bag for cruising and cruise excursions!
I was looking for a lightweight packable bag to go in luggage and be used for cruise excursions in Hawaii. I was mostly thinking it would be used for our snorkeling gear and initially I purchased two smaller ones. We took all of them on the cruise with us and quickly decided that it made more sense to take the larger and have that extra space especially since these bigger ones weigh not much more. And the straps on the side to help hold the water bottles made a huge difference. We tried the smaller bag and it didn't have straps to help with that and several times are tall metal insulated water bottles would fall out. Like when you're taking the backpack off or if you're using it on just one shoulder. But in this backpack the bottle was secured and kept in place between the netted section and then the strap that goes around the upper part of the bottle. I also really love that it has the built-in wet bag on the back side. Several times on excursions we would swim and then have wet items and we could stick them in there and they would not get anything else in the backpack wet. And when we would pack to head out to the excursion we would place our dry clothes in the built-in wet bag so that they would stay dry until we were ready to change clothes. Because most of our excursions were on boats and water related and sometimes water spray hits the backpacks. The backpacks went through many excursions with us and we're stuffed to the gills and functioned beautifully. I know I saw some complaints and reviews that the bags weren't sturdy enough but I think these are people who were trying to use them for long-term backpacks, like backpacks through Europe, etc. I think these are more intended for the type of purpose I was using them for. For my purposes they're definitely five star bags. And the weight of the empty bag is about 1.3 lbs.

Orange is the new Back Pack Color
This is a great little back pack. It is not a heavy bag to weigh down your shoulders and give you back pain at all. It is water proof, something I need here in Canada. It has multiple pockets that work well, and hold all the things I need to carry with me. Emergency supplies, a card wallet, paper towels and Kleenex for those wet seats on the Metro !! The straps are not a bulky affair and have a chest attach strap for weight moderation.
