Q: Does this feeder have a cone shape on the inside to prevent grain from being trapped on the edges

The inside bottom of the pail is flat with a centered hole and then a cone piece attached below the hole outside that feeds the grain to the spinner. So, no there is no slope on the inside of the pail to keep the corn from being trapped. However when the spinner activates it causes a pretty good vibration of the entire pail and tends to empty all of the corn on my feeder.

Q: Whats the best battery to buy with this feeder?

Either a Durcell 6A Duracell 6volt last longer than any other battery except a 6volt rechargeable with a 6volt solar panel (which is what I use.) God is Great!

Q: Is it an electronic timer? Can you set a release time as well as number of seconds to release corn? What kind of battery is used? Thanks

It only feeds at daylight and dark. No timer. It uses one of those square batteries with the springs on top. Sorry, can't remember the voltage.

Q: Is there a stand or legs that can be purchased for this feeder?

I do not believe so because it only holds about 25 lbs., we hung it up with a pully system, larger feeders do have legs for more $$
