Just Ordered a Second one.
Love this little thing. It only lasted a year but I used it 2-3 times a week all year long. It stopped charging. I feel I got my money's worth. I just ordered another one. It's very accurate. I don't want one of the handheld ones. This stays on tight on the cart's metal bar.

Great GPS
great product especially for the price! not many gps units offer color and touchscreen at this price. connects to the course very quickly and is easy to bring to the course. magnets are nice too as it adheres to cart very securely making it convenient to read while playing. definitely recommend

Works okay for distances. Other functions a bit fiddley to access. Clumsy button-ology.
Distance readings are down to the nearest yard / meter, no fractions. When moving the distance display takes 3 seconds to catch up. Bold numerical display font easy to read for older fuzzy vision eyes. Button-ology is a bit clumsy. For various functions need to scroll thru menus like an old flip phone. When beginning play the start up menu to find the golf course takes 30 seconds. Does not auto load the first tee where I am standing. Have to select course manually. Have to manually select the hole number. If I shoot beyond the putting green the display moves on to the next hole. When I backtrack the hole, the unit agains moves to the next tee. Golf course list is tiny font. These comments made 48 hours post purchase. No comment on battery life between charges. No idea how long this unit will live or how resistant to abuse it is. Will it die the first time I accidentally drop it? Does this unit compare favorably to other $99 GPS units? Will have to compare to my buddies gizmos.

Works so much better than my "shaky" range finder.
I'm a 69 yr. old avid golfer. Wanted to get more accuracy with the distances I had to hit, so I spent $349 on a laser range finder a couple years ago. This thing had the slope reader, everything! But what they don't tell you when you buy one....you better have a pretty steady hand when using it, or at least be able to brace yourself against something when you use it! Otherwise the "cross-hairs" bounce around like a jack rabbit! Was more frustrating than anything else. Great brand name - lousy performance! So I bought the Swami 6000 by IZZO. Imagine that - technology that does what it says it will, for UNDER $100.00! Easy to use, with 40,000 courses in their library, and it's magnetic so it sits right on the frame of my golf cart. When I get to my ball it tells me the distance to the green front - middle - and back! That's all I wanted it to do. Sure I could keep my score on it, and I could ever find out the "hazards" on each hole, but I'm playing courses I've played dozens of times before, all I need is "how far to get home?" Keep it up IZZO!!

fROZE UP COMPLETELY AFTER A Y EAR
2ND UPDATE - COMPLETELY FROZE UP AFTER TWO HOLES! ACTUALLY NOT EVEN HALFWAY THROUGH THE SECOND. NO WAY TO RESET OR EVEN TURN OFF! JUST HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL THE BATTERY DIES. i REALLY HOPED THIS WOULDN'T BE ANOTHER FLAWED PRODUCT BUT I WAS WRONG. MY LAST REVIEW SAID I WAS GOING TO SELL ON EBAY - NOW IT'S COMPLETELY JUNK! NOTE THE REVIEWS, THERE ARE SEVERAL OTHERS WITH THE SAME PROBLEM! IF YOU GO TO THE IZZO SITE NOTE THAT ALL THE REVIEWS ARE CHERRY-PICKED, NOTHING LESS THAN A FOUR-STAR. IZZO WILL NOT STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS! (Initial review when new) Purchased this to replace my Golf Buddy. The good news is that it pulls up the correct course quickly and it's very accurate. There are two problems - one is that if you want to keep score you need to stay on the green of the hole you just played to enter that information. If you leave the green and approach the next tee box before you record your score it switches to the next hole and there is no way to go back. That's a real problem if you're being rushed or are in the habit of recording your score while waiting to hit on the next tee. I have never been able to complete a round without having to abandon the scoring feature and other players get really peeved if you stand there fiddling with your rangefinder. The other problem is that you can set the device to automatically turn off after about half an hour or stay on. Even though we're moving constantly and I'm checking distances or recording scores it seems to turn off after a couple of hours after setting the device to stay on. UPDATE #1: I changed this to a one-star rating because 1) the third time I used it I couldn't pull up the course I was on (major course in Denver suburb!). I updated the firmware at Izzo suggestion 2) Not being able to enter score once you leave green is a killer. Izzo response was "once you're 40+ yards down fairway you should be able to switch back and enter score"! Are you kidding? I'm focused on my next shot at that point! and 3) It keeps turning off after about six or seven holes. Gonna sell on Ebay.

Works Great. Easy To See.
The Izzo Swami 6000 works great. It's bright color display has large numbers and is very easy to read, even from yards away or when sitting in the golf cart on the other side. It is accurate and works seamlessly, advancing from hole to hole automatically. It also acquires the course very quickly after you initially turn it on. With the touch of one button you can switch screens and get the distance to, and the distance to go over, hazards on the hole. The battery life is superb and it has a battery life indicator. The magnet on the back holds onto the cart well. The Swami 6000 is small enough and light enough to put into your pocket if you have to walk up to a tee box or if weather conditions dictate "cart path only". As far as I'm conerned this is the perfect little golf GPS. Prior to purchasing the Swami I had the current "version 2" of the leading manufacturer's Golf GPS. It worked fine, but was often difficult to read, especially in bright sunlight. (It has a grey and black screen, not bright color like the Swami.) After purchasing the Swami 6000 I used both of them for a few rounds to compare the distances. They were always within one or two yards of each other. I have since given the other brand's golf GPS away.

Worked Well, Until the Battery Gave Up
While it functioned it worked great. I've used it for about 18 months and likely for about 250 rounds. No problem finding the courses I've played. But..... the battery and charging situation stinks. I just ordered a new GPS as this one will likely be dead in a week or two. It's been charging for nearly 24 hours and it's still not done. It barely makes it through a 3.5 hour round now. Clearly there are battery issues, as outlined in other posts. A shame as it's a great value and works well. But not for long!

Faltan campos y no actualizan (llevo 2 años pidiendolo :(

The first unit I received did not work. From that experience I learnt the following: #1. Amazon’s return policy is simple/easy to follow and worked seamlessly…..full marks. #2. Izzy Support was extremely professional, and although they were unable to repair the unit, they were great to work with…..full marks. The replacement unit was received in record time. The replacement unit is working well. It is simple to use and I enjoy the magnetic function that allows the operator to mount the gps unit where it is easy to view. I did hear about users who left the unit on the cart when leaving in a hurry. I have addressed this concern by using a storage case. I use an old eye glass case, that I put in the cart, with the belief that I will see the empty case and remember to grab the gps unit. We will see. I have found that the batteries last two full rounds before recharging.
