It measures about 8 inches in length and about 13.75 as the total width of the cylinder round width. And the opening accommodates the entire 8 inches that is the length of the bag. I can easily store my removable bike lights; store my iPhone 6s; keys; and a very small coin wallet. It is very functional and the leather is a thick high quality cowhide. The color is a light caramel with contrasting white stitching. The bag is just gorgeous. It adds personality to my vintage bike as it accents the other features of the dark caramel Brooks seat and the corkscrew handles. It can be placed on the back of a Brooks seat cover (or any seat cover that has holding openings); but I elected to place mine on the front handle bars of my bike since I already have a wooden crate on the back, for me this balances out all of the accessories on my bike (see posted pictures). I just love it. The seller on Amazon was a local bike shop in my area and the item arrived within 2 days. I would highly recommend this. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Tricking out my BK Bedford single speed *by S***H on October 27, 2017* Was looking for a retro style leather, no PU, tool bag or handlebar bag which would be large enough to hold a 7” long HP Crank Brothers Gem pump as well as other tools. This one is perfect, looks great and is high quality. In addition to the pump I put in 1 tube, 2 tire levers, a small retractable cable lock and a wrench for the bolt-on wheels. I also tried an iPhone 6, small wallet and car keys in a different fit test which work well. I may buy a 2nd one; so one on the handlebars, one behind the seat. It’s that good.I had a small amount of difficulty getting one of the straps unbuttoned from the peg but I just stretched the hole open a little bit with needle nose pliers and the problem was solved. Being made of real leather, one strap was a fraction (< 1mm) thicker. Animal hides vary in thickness and tanned stiffness. I only even mention this so that others with the same small difficulty on receipt won’t send it back or get too frustrated. The design is so simple that if after owning it for, oh say 15 years, the stitching comes undone, it would be a simple repair at any shoe repair shop.This is a quality product and looks great. ### ⭐⭐⭐ A nice deal if you are ok with the color. *by S***N on March 16, 2018* I just got it, so I can't give feedback on durability. Seems well made and the right size for ride essentials. I like the style, it's just right for some of my older steel frame bikes. As another reviewer said earlier, it is indeed a mustard yellow, not tan or brown. I'm taking some neatsfoot oil and brown shoe polish to it to darken it up a bit.
