How much of the bran is needed for one fill of a composter?

Depends what size the composter is. I have a bucket with a 300mm diameter and put in 4/5 scoops of bran roughly once a week. A 5kg bag of bran lasts about 3 months

What kind of bran is it?

I assume it’s wheat bran but not certain & it has been treated with molasses.
