Denso 221-3409 Radiator

Perfect fit and function. Replacing the original radiator with this one relieved my worries of the transmission cooler leaking and causing the transmission fluid to mix with radiator antifreeze. (A common problem with Frontier trucks.)

After a few weeks and few hundred miles the Denso radiator performs well. It is installed in a 2007 Nissan Xterra. The original radiator made by Calsonic started leaking coolant after 45k miles. Although the original "Radiator assembly" is under extended warranty from Nissan, the Nissan dealer refused to honor the warranty. According to the terms "internal leaking" must occur first then they will (probably) do it. Internal leaking means your coolant will mix with transmission fluid and your transmission will go bust! How smart! Dealers offered to replace the radiator for $1000. I did it at home for $100 in a few hours. The Denso radiator is a perfect fit, and is perfectly identical with the OEM Calsonic which is sort of scary.

Solid construction. Fits perfectly in my 2008 Pathfinder. Some difficulty with installation. Watching several utube videos on installation helped with the process.

Good fit replacement for factory radiator for my 2006 Nissan Frontier v6 LE truck. My only complaint with this unit is it did not come with caps on the hose flanges. This could allow dirt and dust to get into the radiator. I have seen photos and videos of other replacement radiators which did come with all fittings capped. Overall, it is a good choice to replace the radiator before the defect in the factory radiator ruins your transmission. S.M.O.D stands for 'strawberry milkshake of death' and describes what happens when the factory radiator internal transmission cooler ruptures and mixes transmission fluid with engine coolant and eventually destroys the transmission, an $8k replacement job.

Original delivery was going to be under a week, but didn’t happen due to damage to package while enroute as delivery update indicated. It was sent back and vendor had a new one sent to me quickly. This Denso radiator is top quality and fit back into place perfectly and is doing it’s job as expected. One satisfied customer.👍😎

The radiator arrived quickly and fairly well packaged with no damage noted to fins or tubes. Comparison to the OEM Calsonic radiator in my 2006 Nissan Xterra revealed that the Denso replacement was better constructed. Layout of the radiator and fit-up into the engine compartment was perfect. Approximately 2 months after installation there have been no leaks. I would recommend Denso replacement for any radiator change out considering the price and the quality.

Radiators are no fun to install.....not the radiator companies fault.....this was super cheap and works just fine in my 06 xterra off road....no more smod to worry about

Starting leaking 3 months after professional installation and needs to be replaced ,no warranty or product support available .

Unfortunately this arrived defective - out of square as if the center had been pushed slightly sideways. there was no visible damage to the box but, as others have noted, the packaging was, shall we say, light on protection. First inspection of the radiator appeared ok on arrival but when installing the mounts it became clear that it was crooked. Down a bunch of hours labour and a full system worth of coolant. Extremely frustrating ... Refund has been easy as with most things on AMAZON but the lost time and dollars have taught me a lesson about fragile autoparts from this source.
