A bit expensive but…
It works perfectly and seems long lasting. Great product.

Wanted a cup warmer for a while but they’re so big these days and have mixed thoughts fed back on them. So I plumbed for an ember mug.. whoop! It’s better than I had hoped. Yes it won’t last forever but do you really want a scummy cup of coffee or tea after an hour or more stewing? (Also best with dairy free beverages or soups!) In my non heated office now the temperature is dropping it’s the best thing ever. When caught on the phone for a length of time I know my drink or soup is going to be just the way I like it. It’s deceptively cool to the touch, easy to clean and gives you a surprise when near the last few gulps when it’s still piping hot at the end. Will be getting another for home when finances allow. Not the cheapest. But the best. And it’s not hard to keep the bottom dry; for all you qi lovers.

Does what it says on the tin: Keeps drinks hot
Good: - Does what it says on the tin: Keeps my tea nice and hot for around 80 minutes normally, or indefinitely on the coaster. - It's easy to clean, and the material feels good to drink from. It's plastic but it's a high-quality good feeling plastic. Bad: - The app is dreadful - but you should only need to use it once to set your temp and then you're fine. - If you like your tea VERY hot, it may not be enough. I've set my temp to 61c and it only goes up to 64c, so it's a little close for comfort (I think a fresh cup start around 85c for reference) - It's annoying to remember to charge it back up again after any use away from your coaster.

A lot of money for what you get
I didn't want to hurry to write this review so now that 6 months have passed, this is what I've learned from every day use: This mug stains. It's black so you wouldn't think it would get stained so easily but it's nice sleek finish was toast by a month or 6 weeks in. I realise this is from tea sitting in it too long - but isn't that it's design? It gets rinsed a few times a day and then cleaned well at the end of the day but it's clearly not enough maintenance. I've tried to scrub it out as much as I feel is possible without scratching it and using numerous other things to clean it (soaps, denture cleanser tabs, vinegar & baking soda, etc) Nothing really works which is sad because it looks great out of the box. The app is pretty useless. Good thing you don't need the app to use the mug because it needs constant pairing and makes you want to throw the whole thing out the window. If the app is something you plan to rely on, skip this. It's pointless. The mat has started to become sketchy about charging and I worry that I'm going to have to return this before the year warranty period. I've got it marked down in case it needs to go back because you have to sit it "just right" sometimes to get it to make perfect contact. But why 4 stars? This sounds like a 1 star review, mate! Because the mug really does work. It'll sit there and keep your coffee or tea toasty warm for a good long time. If it's sitting there on it's mat it'll keep it warm until your cat knocks it over or the milk skims over. If the extras and bells and whistles are important then upgrade to something more than the 2.0 or skip this but for me, it's saved money and improved life (less tossed out coffee, less tea down the drain, fewer tea bags, much less milk, etc)

It died after 4 months
The idea of this product is great. Though the battery doesn't last as long as they claim, for one thing. The saucer that charges the cup stopped working after 4 months. Tried to get a replacement with the company, but they messed me around for so long taking all sorts of details, and did nothing else about it. I had to complain to Amazon, to setup a return and refund. So the moral of the story, be wary of your purchase.

I would never want to be without it
EDIT: I still love this cup. But, in the year I had it, the coaster was replaced twice because the pins kept getting stuck and didn’t connect to the base of the cup to charge. I was careful not to make the coaster wet and this still happened. After the third time the coaster pins got stuck the whole thing went into the bin. I didn’t want to keep replacing this coaster every few months. I always have a tea on the go and this is awesome. It connects without a problem to the app on my iPhone. I have the temperature set to 55c and my tea is mostly always good. I say “mostly” because if I leave it too long, a skin forms on the top of the tea. This normally takes an hour or so to happen, so is probably not an issue for normal use. I get lost in my work and can forget about my hot cup of tea. I also like to drink herbal teas. I use a tea infuser with ginger and lemon. I’m able to pop the infuser in my cup and leet it steep for 15-20 mins before drinking and it’s a perfect temperature. I can’t speak highly enough about this mug, I absolutely love it. There is one negative and that is the tea stains, but I suppose that’s probably due to not washing my cup between cups of tea through the day. So, I suppose this is the o be expected? The stains do come out with a bit of elbow grease and some dish soap, so not a deal breaker by any means.

Perfect cup of coffee 24/7
I absolutely love this mug! I also bought the new Sliding lid from their website . It will improve the battery life and you can bring your coffee from home.

Great Idea: Poor Execution! I Really Want To Love It.
Tl;dr - Software and user interface let this product down. For the price I paid I expected better. I would still recommend it, but with a inescapable sense of disappointment and a hole in my pocket. For many months now I've seen influencers the length and breadth of YouTube with Ember mugs in their backgrounds and on their desks. As a wannabe influencer and a massive tea drinker who works from home it was only a matter of time before I found some excuse to buy myself this gift. I bit the bullet last week and at first I was satisfied with it's simplicity and elegance. It had all the hallmarks of a great scandi-influenced minimalist design product with great utility. Was a bit disappointed to see an old school ac adapter for the charging base instead of the now ubiquitous USB charging (meaning I can't charge the mug from my desk without a free power adapter and an extra cable.) Unfortunately having now used the product for a week I think the minimalism goes one step too far so you can never quite tell what "state" the mug is in, whether your brew is being kept hot or slowly going cold takes a bit of divination. See, the mug itself has an LED light indicator, which pulses different colours to indicate different things, but unfortunately these indications are both inconsistent and sometimes confusing. Green means your battery is charged, not that your temperature is correct. Pulsing white means your liquid is heating, but only if you added boiling liquid to begin with. Red means your battery is low... not that your mug is heating. Oh and you can also choose a "custom" colour to identify between multiple mugs in your house... but the default colour is also Red. Then there's the app... The app allows you to remotely set the temperature of your mug by bluetooth... if you're lucky! Pairing the mug was seamless the first time. Unfortunately you have to re-discover it every time you use it. I imagine in an effort to save battery they disabled the auto-search feature like most other bluetooth devices have, what would have been better here is maybe to have it search once every 15 minutes maybe? As it stands I have to reselect the device in the app... every time my phone has gone out of range. The app also has handy temperature presets for different beverages, great. But it also has a tea-timer... which stops timing if you switch app while you wait; not great. Now let's talk about the mugs fatal flaw - heating. In a perfect world you would pour scalding water straight into your mug every time to brew your coffee or tea, the mug recognises a sharp change in temperature and takes its queue to wake up and monitor the temperature. But unfortunately we don't live in a perfect world. If you pour any liquid that is below about 60c (in my tests) like say... if you brew leaf tea or filter coffee in another vessel (like anyone who cares enough to spend £130 on a mug probably does!) Then sometimes, not every time, but often enough to plant the seed of doubt in my mind, the mug doesn't recognise that you've put anything in and despite the temperature reading 58c or whatever - actually your brew is slowly going cold and you'll never know until you reach for your dreams only to be met with the cold slops of reality as you imagine how much your friends would laugh at you if they could see you now. The only way to "wake" the mug, seems to be to stir or swirl the tea and wait for the app temperature gauge to catch up and get back to work. Often it seems like a pint of blood and your first born child wouldn't be enough of a sacrifice for the Ember gods to smile down upon your sorry luke-warm soul. 8/10 times it's fine and works perfectly, and those last sups of 60c tea are joyous. But those two-in-ten times are just enough to always have me glancing to the side as I work and saying a quick prayer that the odds are in my favour this time. Great idea, mostly well designed except for the ac adapter, app needs work and connectivity could be improved. UI with the lights needs a rethink, they've sacrificed clarity for simplicity. If I had bought this for £40 in Argos I'd be absolutely delighted with myself.
