I just bought a les paul clone (CMG ashlee) which is frankly a little heavier than a regular les paul. In other words, I have a one heavy instrument. I needed something that would hold my axe confidently while I took my hands off to take notes in music and whatnot. These really did the trick. They fit on a couple different straps (normal and thick leather tabs) and always fit the straps well. The release is not an easy release either, these hold on tight. I have even tried messing with the switch to see how easily it would disengage and it holds tight. Even when taking the strap off to case the guitar, I have to wiggle them a little and make sure the button is all the way down in order to get the strap off. This may be a pain in the butt, but, I would rather spend more time putting my guitar away than figuring out who can repair a broken instrument. Review: Hennessey Aluminum Guitar Strap Locks - These are great strap locks. I have bought several pair of them. They work as intended and and if you match them to your axe paint job, they look awesome. The color does not wear even after years of normal service. The con is that the locking screw can and has come loose before. you have to tighten them tight onto the strap and frequently check tightness. I would recommend these strap locks for those with moderate or less movement on stage.
