Zacurate 500C Elite Fingertip Pulse Oximeter Review โ Fast & Easy Health Monitoring
I really like the Zacurate 500C Elite fingertip pulse oximeter. It is easy to use and gives quick readings for oxygen level and pulse rate within seconds. The display is clear and bright, so it is easy to read even in low light. The device feels lightweight but still solid and well-made. It also comes with useful features like a rotating screen and alarm, which makes it more convenient for different users. It is helpful for checking health at home, especially for sports or general monitoring. However, like most fingertip oximeters, the accuracy can be affected if your hand is cold or if you move while measuring. So it works best when you stay still and follow instructions. Overall, it is a reliable and easy-to-use device for quick health checks at home.

Nurse-Approved: Reliable Home Pulse Ox for Emergencies
As a nurse in skilled nursing facilities, this is my first time buying a pulse oximeter for home emergencies to keep tabs on my familyโs oxygen levels and heart rate just in case. The Zacurate 500C is super straightforwardโclip it on your finger, wait about 10 seconds, and boom, youโve got clear readings on oxygen saturation and pulse, plus a little waveform and perfusion index that I appreciate from work. The screen rotates, itโs got alarms for low readings, and it works reliably even on folks with darker skin or cooler hands, from what Iโve tested so far. Battery lasts forever on just a couple AAAs, and the silicone cover feels comfy and medical-grade without any latex issues. For quick spot-checks during a breathing scare or flu season, itโs a no-brainer. Feels solid for the price, and Iโd grab another if needed. Highly recommend!

Works easily and well
I bought another kind for my mom when she was sick, far from me, at the start of the pandemic; this was before there was available testing everywhere, and I needed to know how she was doing from afar. I didnโt trust her to tell me if she was worsening; sheโs the kind who wouldnโt say, wouldnโt want to worry her kids. That one was top-rated, worked well and easily even for a technophobe like her. Then came my turn; I wasnโt sick, but as someone who lived alone, I was worried that if I became sick, I would need an objective way to decide whether I needed medical attention or not. I didnโt want to call EMS unnecessarily, esp in a pandemic. Besides, I think oximeters are dead useful anyway; I bought my first one five years ago, gave it to my sister so she could monitor her daughter with asthma. I know the powers that be say not to buy them, but I think this is useful at home, if youโre looking at the right things. Like, monitoring someoneโs oxygenation because theyโre ill, and youโre trying to decide if they need the hospital. Thatโs exactly what I did with my mom (because I knew what I was looking for) remotely, and what I was going to do for myself. This unit was easy to figure out, easy to read, seemed to be accurate even with my chilly fingers, and varied appropriately with activity. I think the main reason not to buy one is if you donโt understand what to do with the data; if youโre just going to freak and call your doctor for everything you see, please donโt buy this. But if you are looking for a meaningful drop in oxygenation and are not going to obsess over minute-to-minute normal variation, I think this is a very useful device. Having purchased three different models from three makers over the last five years, I think this is as good as the highest-rated one I got for my mom, but which was sold out when I wanted one for myself. Easy, fast, follows my breathing patterns, tracks normal variations appropriately. I like the color of hers better, but heyโit works like it should, and thatโs what is important. Itโs a little bit of reassurance when you need it, or a good alert that all isnโt well, in some cases. People die because they donโt know to call for help in time. I think if youโre caring for a loved one with COVID at home, itโs best to know whether things are stable or trending downward, so you can take timely action. But please donโt buy if youโre just a nervous nelly and donโt know how to use the data. If youโre willing to read and learn, this device is great.

Very accurate oximeter, readings slow after 3 months
I am so amazed with the accuracy of this oximeter I wanted to share my findings. I currently happen to be completing a nocturnal sleep study to test for sleep apnea so I have a professional quality oximeter. That allowed me the opportunity to compare the readings. This Zacurate 500C Elite oximeter consistently gave the EXACT SAME READINGS AS THE PROFESSIONAL QUALITY OXIMETER! The accuracy was spot on for both the pulse and the oxygen saturation readings. I read reviews before my purchase and this meter was listed as acceptable but when I looked at the prices for oximeters that had higher recommendations I found most were $100 and up. That was out of my budget so I thought I was settling for lower quality but that is not true at all. Why pay more when this meter has proven its accuracy? Iโm so happy that I made the decision to purchase this quality oximeter and save money. This is actually my second purchase of this same oximeter. I bought a second meter before I had the opportunity to compare the accuracy. I bought the same replacement based solely on the other features that I liked so well. I lost my first meter because I took it with me everywhere and I left it somewhere. The compact size makes it easy to throw in my bag and go. The display comes on instantly and quickly gives the reading without having to wait as Iโve seen with other meters. It turns off automatically shortly after you remove your finger so you donโt have to worry about wasting battery life if you didnโt turn it off. The numbers are large, bright and easy to read. The lanyard has a special feature of a locking clip. That allows the lanyard to be easily detached from the meter without having to rethread the lanyard cord through the small attachment hole on the oximeter each time you want to detach it. Save your money. This is the most accurate home oximeter you will find with many great features. Edit- Iโve had my meter for 3 months now. In my initial review above I was impressed with how fast the reading came up on the meter screen. Now after a few months I find I have to wait 15-30 seconds. That may not seem like a long time but when I feel short of breath it seems like eternity. It isnโt giving the instant reading anymore that I was initially impressed with.

Worth having on hand - good quality and functions well. Accurate and reliable so far.
Worth it for me to have on hand rather than hunt down the one working unit we have on my floor when doing the daily vitals rounding. Checked against the hospital-grade equipment and they match right up. Good price, good quality, and saves me a lot of time and hassle at work on the daily.

Accurate, Wish It Came In Fun Colors
Accurate. I've taken it to my doctor appointments and compared it to theirs. It's only been off 1-2 points at most. Long lasting battery. Easy to use. It might be nice if it were made in FUN COLORS, like red, blue, orange, yellow etc as sometimes I lose it since it's small & black.

Very Good
With the inability to get either a PCR or RAT test in Qld at the moment my GP advised to get an oxymeter and concentrate on blood oxygen levels. This one is fabulous. Neat, easy to use, reliable and it was delivered in three days. Very happy.
