Smooth, premium and worth it
The Razer Firefly V2 Glass is an excellent mousepad with a premium feel. The glass surface provides an incredibly smooth glide while maintaining precise tracking, making it great for gaming and everyday use. The RGB lighting looks fantastic, is bright and evenly distributed, and integrates seamlessly with Razer Synapse. The non-slip base keeps the mousepad securely in place, and it’s easy to clean with a quick wipe. The only downside is that the glass surface is a bit louder than a cloth mousepad, but that’s expected. Overall, if you’re looking for a high-quality glass mousepad with beautiful RGB lighting, this is a great choice.

Solid function with awesome aesthetics: a high quality product.
I gotta say I really do love this thing, but mainly for one big reason: the cable catch. It's simple but is very intuitively placed and quite incredible for a wired mouse. It really improves the feeling of a wired mouse. The surface of the mouse pad is quite nice. It's very smooth and my mouse glides across it. There are also no sharp feeling edges where the surface and LEDs meet, and it is kind on your wrist. Because the back of the mousepad has that rubber grippy material uniformly across it, it sits down perfectly flat on a desk and will not move easily with regular use. If you have sweaty hands you probably will not like the feeling of the mousepad for longer gaming sessions, but it is extremely easy to clean. The RGB on this is definitely the best I've seen on a mousepad. It has the most lighting zones and gets very bright. I run mine at around 50% brightness so it's not distracting when playing in the dark. Overall the mousepad really just screams quality. The packaging is very nice, the unboxing experience is nice and easy. The braided cable feels extremely nice and fits snugly in USB ports. Even the cable management rubber tie thing feels nice. The mousepad surface feels good and is nice for both regular use and gaming. The LED lighting is, in my opinion, best in class and none of the other big manufacturers really come close. If I had to give it a con, I would say that the software isn't the best and it really is a bit daunting to use at times, but it's not really a big deal if you're using the lighting presets anyways. For $50 it is a pricy mousepad, but it really does feel like you are getting your money's worth out of it.

Nice, solid pad for the Razer ecosystem!
Smooth surface, my Razer Basilisk v3 glides over this thing! Pretty RGB effects too. A little pricey, but good value of you can get one on sale. Fits well on any desk. Thin enough not to be intrusive, too.

great gadget that isn't necessary 😂
Not an essential purchase, but it's beautiful. Besides having brighter LEDs than the previous version, the mouse glides beautifully. Overpriced? Definitely, but Razer makes a "gaming lifestyle product," so if you have other Razer products, this will be a great match.

Better than a cloth mousepad
I've used a number of mousepads since the age of 3. From the old thick foam-esque mousepads of old, to the newer rubber bottomed cloth ones, each degraded quickly over time to the point of needing replacement. My previous mousepad, one from Mionix, did its job fairly well. However, the cloth was a magnet for hair and dust which proved nearly impossible to remove completely. It was time again for a new mousepad. During my search, I stumbled upon the Razer Firefly. While skimming the product page, I was convinced it was just another cloth mousepad that would inevitably need to be replaced, albeit for triple the price I would normally pay. I also wasn't too thrilled by the LEDs around the edges, and nearly passed it up. However, reading a few reviews I discovered that the "hard" version was actually that: a hard mousepad, made out of plastic and rubber. I've used a few plastic mousepads in my time, and not one of them functioned as a surface for a mouse. Tracking issues out the wazoo, an overly slippery surface, and hard edges are the first thing that come to mind. However, impulse buying got the best of me and I ended up grabbing one. This mousepad is legitimately comfortable, to the point that I almost don't even need my wrist rest. It's a bit larger than I thought it would be, and hangs off the edges of the platform I use my mouse on. This is irrelevant however, because the harder material is almost like its own little tabletop. The only give it has comes when you apply unrealistic force, and chances are you would never even notice it in the middle of a game as it doesn't even affect the tracking. The LEDs are actually quite nice, and more subtle than I would have thought considering Razer's previous trends. As for the surface itself, the tracking you get with this mousepad is phenomenal. It's kind of a textured plastic, with the feel comparable to running your fingertips together. With my current mouse, the Razer Basilisk, it's a match made in heaven. There is a bit of a scratchy noise when you move the mouse, almost like running your fingernail across a plastic bottle, that isn't really noticeable unless you listen for it. When you power down your PC, the LEDs fade from your original color (in my case, blue), to purple (may just be me), to off. One of the best.

11 months review: this mouse mat is simply amazing
After 11 months, this hard mouse mat has not disappointed, and I would definitely recommend it. pros: + Build quality, it doesn't have a single scratch and looks just like new. + RGB brightness, colors, and personalization options. + The glide is really smooth, and as razer states it, it feels like the perfect balance between speed and control. + The rubber base is good, it doesn't slip or move at all with normal use of the mouse. + Easy to clean. + The cable is long enough. cons: - You need to create a razer account and be connected to the internet to use the different lighting effects or else it will be stuck at the default lighting (color cycling). - The size is not that big compared to other mousepads, but this might be something positive depending on how you look at it. I recently switched to keyboard and mouse, and at 1200 dpi with low sensitivity, the size can feel a little small at times, especially when the game requires a lot of vertical movement. - The cable catch can damage your mouse's cable if you constantly remove it; after 3-5 times of removing the cable from the cable catch, the outer layer of the cable began to peel off. - It has a fixed cable instead of a detachable one, that means that if the cable ever gets damaged you will have to replace the whole thing.

Best RGB Mouspad I have found on the internet
Right off the rip I can say I have scoured the internet and can't find a single mouse pad with RBG lights like these. Every mouse pad I've seen that is RGB simply changes the entire bar of light. This mousepad has multiple nodes of light inside allowing for a beautiful stream of rainbows or whatever color combinations you can imagine. The Razer Synapse program as well as the Chroma Studio are great. Chroma Studio works almost like photoshop allowing for insane levels of customization. The quality of the mouse pad is great, I like that it's a hard surface personally. One complaint I have is that the pad tends to slide across the desk sometimes when I'm playing games. It needs to be readjusted often so the non-slip backing could have been executed better. It has a nice clip for your mouse wire to rest in allowing you to keep the wiring a bit more managed. Overall, great mouse pad with probably the best RGB lighting you'll ever find online. IF anyone has found something of equal of better quality I'd love to know about them!

Absolutely top notch
This review is for the Firefly v2 Hard mousepad. There's nothing I dislike about this mousepad. I received a product in perfect condition, although the box was crunched in because it was shipped in a plastic bag mailer with no cushioning. That much was a bummer. I'm using it with a Deathadder v2 mouse and the movement is wonderful. Incredibly consistent friction across the surface and low drag make this a great mousepad for relatively low-DPI gaming. My partner who only games casually happened to sit down at my computer and she became mesmerized by how smooth and accurate the mouse action is. Her literal response was, "I could sit here and just move this mouse around for an hour." One concern I had was what sort of noise the mouse and pad would create. I was coming from a Steel Series QcK cloth pad which is more or less silent. I was pleased to find that, while this Razer combo does create noise if I forcefully drag the mouse across it, in normal use when my touch is lighter it makes no obnoxious noise. With headphones on I notice nothing except the buttery smooth and accurate action. I'm not usually one for hyperbole, so I mean this sincerely when I say that the Deathadder and Firefly combo is the best mouse and pad combo I've had in 25+ years of PC gaming. I cut my teeth playing FPS and RTS games on hard mouse pads back when they were more common, and this Firefly Hard with the Deathadder takes that experience and perfects it.

I see multitudes
This truly is a thing of beauty. I coupled the Firefly V2 mousepad with the Razer DeathAdder V2 (and for some reason a Logitech G213 keyboard - not sure why I did that, though it’s cool too), and the colour synching is amazing, and the feel as smooth as a Bruno Mars song. It sure beats my old $5 Microsoft mouse + sheet of A4 paper!
