Leviton 15 Amp, 125 Volt, Grounding Plug, 515PV, Yellow

I'm extremely satisfied with the Leviton 515PV-OR Grounding Plug—these are solid, high-quality replacements that should last the lifetime of my equipment. I recently used two of these plugs to replace damaged ones on my dust collection system and table saw, and they’ve made a noticeable difference in safety and reliability. The build quality is excellent. These plugs are much sturdier than the originals that came with my equipment, and they feel robust enough to handle heavy use in a workshop setting. Installation was straightforward, and the connection is secure, ensuring safe and reliable power. I also really appreciate the bright orange color. It stands out, making it easy to identify and locate the plug in my workshop, which can sometimes be cluttered with cables and tools. Overall, this is a high-quality grounding plug that I would recommend to anyone looking to repair or upgrade their power tools or equipment. Solid build and easy to use. Unlike some replacement plug terminals that require wrapping the wire around contact screws, this unit has box clamps. No fumbling with the wires. Strip, twist, insert, tighten.. done. Similar to a residential outlet, the terminal screw colors are also simple to decipher,.. brass for hot, silver for neutral and green for ground. I used it to replace a 14awg cord plug, but it will easily accept 12awg wire as well. I didn't measure, but I'd say it would accept thick insulated round and flat jacketed cords. Will definitely buy it again if/when needed.

Easy to replace, works fine. An optional tapered strain relief would make the old thicker power cable simpler to cut lead lengths of heavier gauge wire but it is a good power plug.

These are high quality plugs, and are suitable for 12ga extension cords. We get a lot of power outages here, & I use several 12-ga cords to run my generators to various appliances. I cut up a 100 foot 12-ga cord into a 50-foot length, & two 25-foot lengths, to suit my needs. These plugs made it possible to make up cords that I trust to handle up to 15 Amps, when it's storming and the lights are out. These new plugs have a different way of connecting the wires inside them, but once you figure it out, it works well.

Leviton doesn't need my review but if you're buying something else you must not understand electrical and like to settle for hi-risk crap and knock off brands putting your family or (customers) at risk. Great plugs, easy to wire and use with visible orange 15-amp plug. Over 40-year practicing as a master electrician and will always prefer Leviton products.

This was the first time using one of these replacement plugs. The strain relief that the clamping portion provides is great because I was worried about tugs on the cord causing issues with connectivity inside and becoming a fire hazard. The hardware inside felt high-quality and ensured a secure connection. The casing closed nicely and the job was done! It may seem intimidating, but if you take your time, use the proper tools, and follow the instructions, you'll have a lasting repair! I haven't tested it in the elements, but given how nicely the case sealed and the general design, I have no doubts that it could handle dust, dirt, and abuse. Highly recommend!
