I had to order this after my previous radio cord broke due to me accidentally moving the back seats down to open the trunk space and accidentally pulling the cord back up and snapping it off because it got hooked on the seat and at the other end underneath the passenger seats. However I digress. This cord does what it is supposed to, no issues with power intake so far. It is a little difficult however to push into the lighter port I have it in. While I would just leave the plug plugged into my car and simply turn the radio off, I have noticed in the past that there is a glitch with my radio that it will turn itself back on thus draining the battery if I don’t catch it in time. So I feel safer unplugging and re plugging the radio in every time I enter or exit the car. The issue with this piece is that it requires a forceful push and the place my lighter port is at, is not made for constant forceful pushing. I have to hold the area the port is in and THEN push the head of the lighter plug into my car, which is not something I had to do with the in the box plug that came with the radio . Overall though good product.
