I absolutely love these! They're so super easy to use and have so many limitless applications. These are some of the ways I have used these already, and I have only had them less than a week! 1) As a teacher that has to document my students work, it has posed a challenges to get good quality examples to share with parents that I can share with them in conferences, since we use white boards often, but they are designed to be erased. Not a problem with Rocketbook! I attach these on the corners of my student white boards, scan them with the app super quick, and I now have a documentation of learning for that student that I can print out parents for informal assessments! Easy peasy!!! 2) Some of my special needs students struggle with note-taking. Typically I take a photo of the board and then print it out so they have access to exact information presented in class. This product totally levels the playing field for my students, as now they can not only have a readable, no glare copy of notes, but then these can be shared for future lessons since they now are a document! (Documents can also be sent home if students have to miss school days and students will have exact notes from class. ) 3. I have drawn follow-up activities on my white board, scanned them through the app, then made customized worksheets for my students in a matter of minutes...creating quick fill in the blank "quizzes" for my students that are more relevant because they are customized for students. Such a time-saver and a way to reinvent learning at a great price! (So often equipment is so expensive to obtain in classrooms, and often out of reach for educators on a budget. These are a bargain for all that they have the potential to do!!!) This product is an amazing asset to any classroom helping to support students of all abilities!!! I highly recommend Rocketbook Beacons for college students, professors, business owners, SPED teachers, anyone who wants to work smarter, not harder!!!

The Rocketbook Beacons are a great addition to the Rocketbook suite. I use my Rocketbook daily to capture notes from my meetings. The notes can be easily captured and loaded into my phone. The lack of whiteboard integration made it an outlier for how I organize myself. I actually cut back on using my whiteboard because of it. The Beacons work just like they should. You put them on the whiteboard, draw in the space between them, and capture to your phone. Easy and great if you are dealing with sensitive information you cannot leave on your whiteboard but need to retain. You only need to write it once. Let the Beacons do the work. They come with a great carrying case, too. My expectations were exceeded. I give them my enthusiastic recommendation. Great for business users. One note of caution: Be very careful when peeling the backing from them for first use. This is a one time issue, but being cautious with this step will ensure that your Beacons work well.

My wife got me a Rocketbook Fusion at Christmas. I was instantly impressed with it. I looked up the other products and discovered the Beacons. These things are amazingly simple to use, and make the task of saving and sharing whiteboards at work so much easier. The snapcasting feature blows peoples minds when I show it to them. I've always snapped pictures of whiteboards but it was always a pain to find the photo and share as I had to dig through my photos, attach it in an email to myself, then save to my OneNote or forward to others. With the beacons, a snap and a click and it's automagically sent to my OneNote and my contacts. The app with the beacons simply works, and works simply. After showing the beacons and app to coworkers, I'm now getting called over to come "orange thingy my whiteboard", and others are seeing the value and ordering their own. The adhesion to the whiteboard is impressive given its not really an adhesive, you can actually feel it popping loose like suction cups when you peel a beacon off. My only issue so far is with the app and snapcasting. On only some computers at my work on our corporate LAN the automatic refresh doesnt work, the code in the background gets errors (viewed in developer console of the page) - this only happens on some connections and is not likely the fault of the design, but our network. Manual refreshing of the page works fine. Pros: 1. Easy and quick to use 2. App makes snaps of a whitebaord look better and more vibrant than the camera alone 3. Automatic crop and skew adjustment 4. Works very well in low light that would render regular photos ugly 5. Destinations with the beacons makes storing and sharing a whiteboard so simple, it almost feels like you did it wrong Cons: 1. The microsuction cup side will hold on to lint/dust that needs to be washed off on occasion 2. The snapcasting feature might have issues auto-refreshing in your browser if you have a strict firewall or non-standard browser 3. Placing two beacons sticky side to stick side can make them very tough to pull apart. Learned this the hard way when trying to combat lint - one corner slightly separated when trying to pull them apart. Still works fine.

I didn't see a use in my life for the beacons. I don't have a lot to do with whiteboards. So why buy them for personal use? Let me tell you my plan. First, I'm a writer and I write on anything and anywhere. So post its, spirals, backs of envelopes.. you get the idea. It's time consuming to take all those notes and type them up. But it's not time consuming to put down four triangles and scan them. My one criticism - the OCR transcription could be better. Having said that it is a work in progress and it still manages to read my handwriting and turn it into digital typed text I can use, correct and so on. So now the poems I create everywhere or the notes on plots can be easily captured. Second, I do genealogy... family history. My parents are gone as are all aunts and uncles. But I have a hand written recipe book from my mother, letters, and more historical artifacts which I want to digitize (doing a family cookbook of my mom's recipes). None of these are on a whiteboard but I put those four triangles around the documents and at the very least I get a snapshot of it. If the software can manage to read the older script writing even better (I have not tried this yet as I've only had my beacons for a couple days). This may not be the way the makers intended these beacons to be used but I love that I have the option. I haven't used the adhesive part yet so I cannot speak to how well it works. I will say my poems were written in a journal and I laid the triangles at odd angles and still got the scan and transcription.

Better than expected. These came in a clamshell case with smooth interior for holding beacons in place. I haven't used them yet, but I did try them on some smooth surfaces and they stick to glass, plastic, tile without any issues. If you already have Rocketbook, I highly recommend buying the beacons if you every use large print for presentations, discussions, or meetings.

So we have a magnetic whiteboard in our office that we use to schedule our crews for work. We use the board to schedule out months in advance all of the jobs that we have, and we update it at least weekly and some weeks we update it daily. It is nice to have this board on the wall to get a big picture of what is going on while people are in the office, but since it is on the wall you can't take it with you when you are driving around to job sites and meeting new customers. So we decided that we also wanted an online schedule to go with the whiteboard. So I was trying to find an easy way of doing this. I looked at doing an online calendar to share with everyone. The only problem with the calendar was that updating it was time-consuming. Then I found the Rocketbook Beacons. With the beacons, I can make the changes to the whiteboard and take a picture of the board and post them to Onedrive to share with everyone. It only takes about five seconds to take the picture with the app and upload them to Onedrive.

Where has this been all my life?! I love the beacons! I teach 3rd grade math and these have changed my instruction for the better. Anchor charts are used daily in my class. My students and I make an anchor chart, I then put it on the white board at the front of the room and we discuss it. When we are finished with it, I simply put the beacons in the 4 corners and scan it in with the Rocketbook app. I have it set to go to a google drive folder that all my parents have access to. This way, the parents can utilize these at home to help with homework, as well as see what we are currently doing in class. Love these! Buy them!! The only reason I gave the adhesion 4 stars is if you use them on other surfaces besides the whiteboard, the adhesion diminishes a bit. However, this is an easy fix!! Just rub them with water running over them, dry and done! Back to normal!

I initially picked up a set of Beacons for use at work as folks often rely on hurriedly taking and texting awkward cell-phone pictures of white board diagrams to each other before before the next meeting starts. I soon found that while the Beacons are great for white boards, in a pinch they also work for notebooks, easel pads, and sketch books. The option to use handwritten ## tags to name the files combined with the ability to customize which other metadata elements are used is great and opens up some interesting automation possibilities. The only issue I have encountered so far has been in getting the OCR to work and I suspect that may be a UX issue with the App rather than a technical problem. In conclusion, I'd definitely recommend picking up a set of these even if just to streamline the process of sharing white board drawings.

These are great for digitalising notes of any kind. They can be easily peeled off without leaving residue and be restuck without effecting how well they stick.

The Rocketbook beacons were easy to put on my whiteboard in my classroom and the app makes it easy to digitalize notes, lessons, and diagrams. I use an online platform to communicate with parents and students and these have made it even easier!
