These work great, my open bottom whelping box sits on top a piece cut to fit, then I staple it to the sides of the box so it creates a snug floor. Then box with whelping mat bottom is carefully placed over two Lectro Kennel heat mats placed side by side. My pups are warm and snug those first critical days. Mom can always get out of the box. As pups grow, temperature on one heat mat can be reduced or turned off, while the other can still give a warm place for little pups to lay on. No problems and used this arrangement for years. The whelping mat can be washed in washer and air dry. It provides the perfect gentle warm insulating interface from the plastic heat mat. This whelping mat is easily cut with scissors, does not ravel, is short nap which is not scratched up with thread debris (with my small dogs) and has a durable waterproof backing. Easily cleaned and does not hold moisture at least not with bottom heat.! Made in USA!

The quality was pretty thick. It was soft. The dark color help to hide puppy urine. I was able to wash them pretty easily and I hung dry them. The texture on the material made it easier for the puppies to grip the floor and walk around a little as they were building their strength and their legs. It fit perfectly on the bottoms of my whelping box. It was great puppy protection from my floors. The appearance is kind of a black gray textured surface. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that is having a litter of kittens or puppies or any kind of animals that are small.

It lays flat I don’t have to worry about puppies getting under it. Wished it was thicker and easier to wash in a machine but is great product for a whelping house or for training too. You can pressure wash it also and easy to dry. I never had a leak which is great! Coverage good. Also light weight. Giving it 4 stars because I wish it was thicker but that is a personal preference. It does do the job great! I have reordered many times!

Very high quality for puppy welping and the messes of growing puppies. This may was very absorbent for the whelping process and I got the largest mat and folded in half and was able to flip it over for a couple more days of use and then used spray detergent and the hose to clean well and hung on the clothesline. It dried quickly and was very durable. The mother of the puppies was doing a lot of nesting and she was not able to rip this mat at all. The mat is not rough but it’s tough. I got a second smaller size mat so I could rotate and always have a clean mat. Definitely worth the money spent. I ordered less expensive mat but ended up returning it as it wasn’t nearly as high of quality.

I recently started breeding Rottweilers and I bought a few of these for their welping box. They do a really good job of holding the moisture and I think they have a great texture for the puppies to crawl on. Do not put them in the dryer. The bottom part will start to flake off. Let them air dry.

This worked for our litter of puppies for a small amount of time. Do not put this in the washer. It degrades the quality and makes it have peels where the puppies will chew. It also will darn near ruin your washing machine. I suggest hosing it off to the best of your ability and letting it dry in the yard or driveway. If I had it to do over I would buy at least 2 if not more or something different entirely. I found the size inconvenient as well. It is just a bit too small for our whelping box and the puppies “playpen” style enclosure. It did help some, we would have been in a bad situation without it, but it does not do all it claims. Where it did cover, the floor was mostly protected.

Our Wolf just had 9 puppies and this mat has been a life saver. We used it at first in the bottom of her puppy pen I built, now that they’re a couple weeks older and roaming the house its proven its usefulness again for easy clean up and potty training. Drop it on the floor and it took no time at all for them to use it for their potty and poop spot. Just a couple times of catching them in the squatting position and getting carried over to the mat is all it took. Clean up couldn’t be easier, I just toss it outside and spray it down real quick with the hose. The cloth like material that covers the rubber (no slide) bottom is completely dry and ready to use in 10 minutes, even in our high humidity climate where things normally take days to dry. Its holding up perfectly as well, which was another pleasant suprise.

Bought to protect my floors against harsh Canadian winters, dogs, a husband and kids. I cut them easily with scissors to fit perfectly to the entry area and then used double sided tape to keep it perfectly in place (just a extra step, this mat lays flat and does not slid) Vacuums easily, and used the Bissell crosswave to wash it as needed. I have now bought 6 of these. One for each entry, two as gifts and two more to line the dog room (yes our dogs have they own room (office space) when we aren't home) These protect the laminate floor and are super easy to clean. I have bought 11 other dog pad/mats type things and these by far are the best!! Wish I found them sooner!! Also the dog hair comes right off with a light vacuum!!!

Does the job, absorbs urine and protects the whelping area keeping it clean and dry. Good traction surface for puppies to develop strong legs.

This product was recommended by our breeder. It has not let us down. When our dogs were potty training, it was easy to wipe - I even sprayed it with a lot of a urine out product - no lingering smell or stains. We have laminate flooring and a tenant below us. It helps with the sound of the dogs playing and walking. We have it in a high traffic area, and even though our dogs are house broken, we have kept it for the ease of noise control and traction to prevent them slipping and hurting their developing bodies. I vacuum it regularly and comes clean. It was easy to cut it to make it fit. There is piling but it hasn't worn out and it is over a year old.

Used this under vet bedding. Brilliant as it stopped the moisture reaching the floor and easy to wash
