I agree with the positive reviews, and most importantly - this product earn the spousal seal of approval!Assembly: If you are reasonably competent with nuts and bolts and big chunks of wood - it's no big deal. One person can handle it okay, for some steps a second pair of hands is helpful. They include a kind of cheap pair of socket drivers - so no extra tools are required.Hammock tip: I got the 12 footer. Our hammock was too long, sagged too much -- had to improvise with the provided clips and hammock ends - you may need to tie a knot and/or shift the end attach points --- and then you can relax in your new hammock without your bottom scraping the ground!

Assembly of the stand was simple and straightforward. I did it by myself in around 20 minutes. It looks fantastic and includes the D rings and two small lengths of chain to adjust how your hammock sits. It does rest a little low and if you have a hammock that is stretchy you may want to look for something that seats the hammock a little higher. I have a stretchy hammock and I come pretty close bottoming out so I am not sure if heavier folks will be able to use my hammock with this stand, more hammock time for me!

First off, it's beautiful when assembled. Looks exactly like the picture with solid dark stained wood and feels very sturdy. On the other hand, the Amazon listing says the weight limit is 450lbs but the box it ships in says it has a 325lb limit. 450lbs can comfortably hold 2 people, 325 is borderline unless both are on the small side. Just something to keep in mind if you were looking for a romantic 2 person hammock stand.Assembly is straightforward, but the holes are drilled almost exactly to the width of the bolts so everything has to be lined up perfectly. It can be a little difficult for 1 person to manipulate the long heavy wooden sections while threading the bolt, but it's still doable. 2 people working together should be able to do it with no problems though. Everything necessary for assembly comes in the box. Just add your own hammock and you'll be relaxing in 15 minutes.All in all, I'm pleased my purchase.

Great hammock, must lay on even ground. Hammock lies lower. Still very comfortable and weather resistant.

It is absolutely amazing looking. Was easy to put together (with a helper). Is the star of my new screened-in porch and am looking forward to many a nap.
