Olba B.V. Feedomatic Automatic Poultry Feeder, 12 kg

This is a great treadle feeder and my hens learnt to use it within a couple of days and the crows have stopped coming around to our chicken run. It's well made and heavy and easy to put together. You can even adjust the weight needed to work it to suit your bird size. The reason for 4 and not 5 stars is that once you fill the feeder you can't adjust the rate of flow without emptying the whole feeder. It would be better if there was a long slot instead of 4 holes this way you can undo the wing nuts and slide the plate up and down. I would recommend this feeder to anyone with a crow problem.

Well, it's rat proof. That is, appart from all the food that gets scattered about and seems to pile up in a big heap beneath it. A complete and utter waste of time and money.

Unfortunately, this device while great in concept, doesn't stop unwanted visitors to the feed station. Worse still, some unwelcome animals are chewing the plastic in a bid to get to the food. Voss will not tell me the contact details of the manufacturer (it's made in The Netherlands) so I can get spares. So, once it's been eaten through, I will have to throw it away. Very unsatisfactory.

Worked ok for a period but the photo speaks for itself, these are not vermin proof. Would not recommend. I have also been unable to get contact details for the manufacturer to source a replacement lid.

Ne ho già due di legno.. questa di ferro mi piace di più perché ha un sistema che limita l’uscita inutile di mangime.. non si può pretendere di metterla in mezzo ad un pollaio e che la gallina ci sale! Bisogna insegnarli ! Proprio come a noi ci hanno insegnato ad andare in bici!

Excellent produit. Les graines restent au sec et les souris enfin ne sont plus de la partie. Les poules apprennent très vite comment s'en servir.

This might be my first review ever on Amazon. So let me start off by saying that I’m not somebody who enjoys assembling things, and reading instructions is a PITA for me. However, I was able to assemble this myself while hardly following the instructions. Super clear instructions and such an easy setup! It took a few tries, but my chickens finally figured out how to use it. It’s seamless and works GREAT! I love how it’s customizable. You can adjust how much food is released, and also you can adjust the tray they step on to open the door to the food. Now, I pray the critters won’t figure out how to use it! I might have to buy another one, as this only feeds 2 chickens per turn. I still love it though! My new favorite gadget.

Der Futtertrog ist der nächste Versuch, das Futter rattensicher bereitzustellen. Der vorige Trog (von einem anderen Hersteller) war zu schnell verzogen und klemmte dann. Aufbau von diesem ging leicht, er wirkt hochwertig und leichtgängig. Man kann den Tritt so einstellen, dass er zum Gewicht der Hühner passt. Leider schaufeln die auch bei diesem Trog unsere Hühner die Körner so raus, dass einiges unten liegen bleibt und damit wahrscheinlich auch für Ratten erreichbar ist. Man müsste wahrscheinlich den Trog auf ein Gitter und das auf eine Auffangschale stellen. Werde ich vielleicht irgendwann machen. Nach wenigen Tagen ist eine der beiden Muttern für den Tritt abgegangen und wart im Hühnerstall nicht mehr gesehen. Ich habe den Hersteller kontaktiert, und er hat mir sehr schnell eine passende Ersatzmutter geschickt (sogar noch eine zweite für alle Fälle). Sehr guter Service. Vielleicht sollte man dort Sicherungsmuttern verwenden, die sich nicht von selbst lösen. Ich beobachte es jetzt mal mit der Ersatzmutter und werde mir sonst versuchen, im Baumarkt eine passende zu besorgen.

Pratique, solide, esthétique pour une distribution propre de mélange grain pour mes poules. Une petite pierre surface pédale au début pour les guider puis les poules comprennent vite...
