These Pentel RSVP purple pens are my absolute favorite! The ink writes super smoothly and consistently, and the purple color is vibrant without being too bold. Smooth writing, comfortable pens
Great pens! I love the purple! I use these purple pens for my journal. I like the color and these pens don't leave ink blobs like my old pens of different brands. The ink goes on smoothly and the grip is comfortable in my hand. I highly recommend these pens in any color.

Decent pen, average, but NOT 1.0 tip. Probably 0.7.
So I haven’t had any issues with the pen skipping, it’s smooth and writes well, the purple is a good midpoint between too light or too dark - my only issue is that this pen is NOT 1.0. My photo shows this purple pen next to 1.0 pentel energel. I believe this pen is 0.7.

What Happened?
I first ordered a set of these pens in January of this year. I was so impressed that I ordered more and then wound up subscribing. The first set of pens were awesome; no problems with the flow of ink and the pens are comfortable to use, even after a couple of hours of continuous writing. The second set of pens have been nothing but a disappointment. Both have stopped writing with ink still left in the cartridge at least half way up the barrel. I've tried the usual tips to get them to work...heating the tips with a match, cleaning the tips with alcohol and acetone, and standing the pens in a cup of boiling water for 5 minutes. And after each attempt to get them to write again, they work for about 30 seconds. I have another set of pens already in transit because the subscription kicked in. If these are no improvement, I guess it's back to looking for a reliable alternative.
