Will this help take care of root rot in dwc systems using other nutrient, like advanced nutrients or general hydroponics?  or is it best not to mix?

Yes I have also mixed them, it will take care of it. But yes there are other products as well that will help!! Everyone has different experience with things, depending on what your using. But yes this can and has helped. H2hydro

Hello, i use hygrozyme (newer dwc grower) for my root rot, does this work in conjunction or is it overkill?

Very similar. This is a wonderful product though. It will help add very beneficial micro organisms in your setup, while helping keep your roots in pearly white, healthy shape. It helps in breaking down other organic material in the soil applications (like old roots for example), to allow your plant to use the broken down material. It also helps as a preventative measure for root rot. Although it does combat root rot very well. It is nowhere close to overkill. You add 2mL to a gallon of water, and it helps keep your roots healthier. If you use something like peroxide though, it will kill off the beneficial micro organisms. This is more for emergency cases of root rot, preventative measures for root health, and to help restore the natural, micro organic environment. There is a life span after you open the seal too. I think it's like, you must use it by 1 yr after opening the seal. After you see the difference, I'm sure it will become a part of every watering though. It is a great preventative measure to help ensure root health. In turn, this helps the rest of the plant do better since the root system is stronger. Great product, give it a try. Mixing the two is unnecessary, the Hydroguard will do the job of both. Giving beneficial bacteria to your mix, while breaking down dead organic matter. Just switch to this one. Its a waste to bit them both to use. HG gives the bacteria, and in turn they help break down the organic matter. For enzymes to help, read up on more customized solutions like a tea or something. Btw, HG is the redone, Aquashield. Which was the king of root rot preventative maintenance. This formula works just as good alone, as AS had. And there's plenty of info online about AS. I wouldn't use them together though. It's not overkill, it's more of a waste of money on similar products. That's all.

Can it be use in soil potted plants?

Absolutely for organic soil less medias,  but it is more for people stripping there water,  like I use a 300 gpd reverse osmosis system with a ultraviolet light attachment,  so the end product is bacteria free. From there I build my water for my plants and it can be difficult to get a stable PH because the buffers are stripped out. I give my plants pure water with only hydrogaurd 2 mil per gallon,  I make nutrient buckets with live bacteria and molasses, the PH is adjusted slowly over 3 days then ready to feed twice a week, because my media is amended with blood, bone, kelp meals aazomite for micro-nutes and many others,  but the decaying of these amendments causes ph drops,  I add in the beginning 7 to 10 grams of pelletized lawn and garden lime, it has lots of organic buffers for your 7 gal pott
Anyway been doing this for 16 years and the flavors are off the charts always great product,  and so easy to be lazy when only feeding twice a week
