full touch music player
My phone's storage was overflowing and it doesn't take a microSD card so I was at the point of deleting all of my music. Then I realised I could put all my music onto a microSD and pop that into a music player. This one is a full screen player, so I don't have to jiggle buttons to get it to play. It supports bluetooth so I can use my current set of headphones without worry. The interface takes some getting used to, as its not Android but that's only a few days. The player binds with bluetooth headsets quite fast and I can get some distance away before it starts cackling and popping. Now my phone's storage is freed up and I get to hear music, with all the scrolling and skipping that I am used to on the phone.

Wasn't expecting much for 50 quid, but this is abysmal!
Argh. My expectations of what I was hopefully buying were relatively low. Having recently taken up running, I wanted a new MP3 player to put all of my music on, and for that I needed one with an expandable memory. (My last one was an iPod Nano with only limited storage). I wasn't expecting an all singing, all dancing apple type of device where you can scroll though your music by artist/song/album etc, but having a drag and drop feature (should be great, right?), I thought I'd get my folders transferred across to be able to select what folder (mine are organised by artist... thanks to iTunes) to play. Also, being an avid playlist lover, I was also hoping also this would be a way for me to have my playlists on, i.e. via playlist folders I'd created on my laptop, and dragged and dropped to the device storage. How wrong I was. About all of it. :( To begin with, I had to remove the upper part of the already placed on the device screen protector (nice touch!) in order to use the touch screen. Not a problem, I thought... this device is going to save me on my runs! Then, I had issues simply connecting it to my laptop and had error messages telling me "We have found errors on this drive" and to "repair it". Not a good start! Managed to sort it and fix these so-called errors and I then transferred about 20 folders across to see how long it takes etc. (I have about 30k songs). They all transferred fine and relatively quickly. This is when my hopes were utterly dashed. When you select the music function on the device, all it does is list the songs by the file name. So my files all seem to have the track number at the beginning, followed by track name. e.g. 01 It's My Party And I'll Cry If I Want To. No artist or anything. There is no search facility on the device (that I could find anyway... i couldn't be bothered to waste my time reading the instruction book to be honest). And scrolling through the songs is painful.... It wasn't like I didn't do my research, but perhaps I didn't research it enough. But IT'S GOING BACK. If you only have a few hundred songs then it might be more feasible to use and you can rename the tracks appropriately so you actually know what you're reading when it comes to deciding what to play. But as it is, it's pretty pants. Definitely not something to store thousands of songs on :( Some birthday present! It really is SO DISAPPOINTING. Now to find something else with a better user interface... And hope that I can get my 50 quid back.

Some nice features but serious problems with Bluetooth and Radio
The Good 1) The screen seemed to work well and the response was adequate. 2) The screen has a folder selection button that makes song selection by artist then album easy. 3) Sound quality good on all wired output (but see Bluetooth below). The Mildly Annoying 4) Photos are presented in landscape across the narrow part of the screen 5) Bluetooth pairing – Only stores the last used device. 6) The video works in MP4 but is temperamental. The Bad 7) The Radio didn’t work just noise although bud cable fine on other unit 8) Very bad lower and lower-mid band frequency loss on Bluetooth, MP3 and AAC 9) Interestingly, EQ is available in Bluetooth mode, probably the problem. Sorry to say the Bluetooth issue was a killer in terms of my use. Declared it a dud. Excellent support from Amazon U.K.

Battery life
Bought this unit mainly to play audio mp3 books. The drag and drop facility was exactly what I wanted. Unfortunately when the unit needed charging, the book returned to the start. If you hadn't made a note of your place, it took a while to get back. Also I couldn't get the bluetooth to work either on my alexa or car system. I would have returned it only it incurred an accident.

Great alternative to expensive brands
Lovely little music player bought for my 7 Year old daughter. I found it very hard to find a similar product on the market that didn't cost £130+. This is great. She is easily able to navigate between the screens. Easy to connect the Bluetooth to my pc. Easy to put music on from the pc. Great sound for when headphones are not being used. Connects easy to a karaoke microphone, the music then players through the microphone speaker so she can sing along to her music. Nice touch with the games too. Very impressed with this little music player, huge amount of storage too.

The MyMahdi M9 Plus is a great step forward for an inexpensive MP3 playback device. Sporting a full IPS touchscreen, Bluetooth 5, full 1080P video playback, support for 128GB micro SD cards, and many lossless audio codecs. This may be the "Ultra" player you were looking for. Search the player and my name on YouTube for a full in-depth presentation. Features I like about this player: Headphone jack quality is above all others. Stereo playback can be heard down to the lowest volume settings. No Hiss on headphones. EQ settings. Beautiful 3 1/2" IPS screen. Bluetooth 5. Lightweight. 1000mAh Lithium battery. Useful Extras: Stopwatch. Games. Clock. Microphone Recorder. Video player. Calculator. Text Reader. Calendar with Note taking. Easy File Management. Simple Controls. Decent run time before needing a charge. Appx. Ten Hours for myself. External Speaker. FM Radio. FM Radio will play through Bluetooth connection. Comes with USB cable. Comes with nice quality headphones. Features that could be added or improved on: Improve FM reception. Lots of noise, unless your closer to the station. Music playback menu should show the song title scrolling. Add more on board memory. 64GB would be a great start. Overall, this is a great, lightweight player that has some many useful features.
