VENTELATE - You can smell the manufacturing chemicals gassing off in the oven. After 30 min when they cool down they don't smell or add taste to the drinks. Prior to the oven I tried washing them (4 times with dish soap), I soaked then in white vinegar and water. I soaked them in water. I boiled them for 30 min. The pot I boiled them in had a white scum on the sides after I boiled them which came off the cups.Only the oven made them taste free..
