This is our second purchase of this air filter. It was recommended on the NYT Wirecutter. We use it because our house is dusty, we have pets, and our son has allergies. It has made a huge difference in the dust levels in our home and air quality. We have one, in two different bedrooms. They make a low hum when on the medium setting, which is louder on the higher settings. There are red and blue lights that show you how much particulate it is filtering. Because it is in our bedroom I find the light too bright at night. To address this, I set a piece of paper on the panel and it is enough to block the light. I love the subtle, white, sleek appearance of it. It sits in the corner without taking up too much space or drawing attention to it.self. The filters are easy to replace and clean. There’s a disposable filter and one that is washable. The first one we purchased has been running continuously for a couple of years and we have had no issues whatever. I think for the price point this is an excellent air purifier.

Great filter replacement. I have bought about half a dozen filter replacements since I got the Coway Airmega AP-1512HH during the California wildfires. Regarding the allergy relief part, I have been able to smell again finally! Not sure how helpful the filter is vs switching nasal sprays, but I have to give it some credit. Perfectly compatible with my six year old Airmega. Regarding value, par for the course, and easy to install. The real reason I am leaving this review is because this filter replacement isn't plagued by the issues many have pointed out in the old one. For those unfamiliar, Coway allegedly switched to a cheaper sealant, which when stored in an environment with high and changing temperatures, causes the thing to smell very, very bad. I looked on Reddit for an answer when I finally got a bad one, and wanted to share the advice. If any of your filters smell gross, move them to a part of your place you are around the least, run it on the high setting for a full day, maybe two. The smell goes away. Saved me $50 on the order before this!

I’ve researched all top air filters for two years bf I purchased but wirecutter rated This unit the top choice six years in a row. I caught it on sale and that made it even better for the skeptic. Two weeks in this skeptic sold. Easy to clean filters ( less than 2 mins ) the appearance seems to be quality and I know I’ve definitely had sleep improvement w the filtration! Easy to install, easy to clean. Always buy the manufacturer filters or void your warranty! Two, filtration is why you have the machine so don’t skimp bc Amazon has several sales catch up on purchases @ this time !

Sehr unangenehmer chemischer Geruch den aber nur ich rieche und der mich dazu bringt flach zu atmen. Meine Frau bemerkt den Geruch nicht. Er steht jetzt in ihrem Zimmer und stinkt auch noch nach 2 Monaten Nutzung. Leider habe ich gleich zwei auf Vorrat gekauft und erst nach ein paar Monaten ausgepackt.

I can smell the difference immediately after replacing the old filter of 1 year with this legit official part. There's just less dust and smoky smell from kitchen lingering.

Comes with 2 black filters and 1 white. Well packaged and quickly sent. Recommend. Update: I bought this in Setember 2024 and we are now in February 2025 and it is already asking me to change the HEPA filter AGAIN! I clean the the pre filters religiously every 2 weeks, there are no smolers in the house, and this is in a bedroom and is only turned on at night on the low setting. If this is the norm it is going to be very expensive. Or these filters are not genuine. It is falsely advertising that you only need to change the HEPA every 12 months, but this is incorrect. Especially given the conditions in which I keep it. Very disappointed.
