DashMat 1779-00-25 Black Dashboard Cover and Protector

I bought this to reduce the glare from the dash on the windshield. I guess Ford wasn't thinking when they built a car with a light beige dashboard - I certainly wasn't thinking when I bought it. In any event, the DashMat - which is basically a black piece of carpet cut to fit your dash - eliminates the glare. It comes with some fasteners to make it lay flat - I only needed to use them in a couple of places. The fit was pretty much exact and there's no curling or bulges - it lays about as flat as a piece of carpet on your dashboard can. Not the most attractive option, but it beat painting the dash and I've pretty much forgotten that its there. The only thing I've found is that it reduces the sensitivity of the headlight sensor so that my lights come on earlier in the evening. There's a cutout for the sensor, but I'm guessing just having the black rug around the sensor sides reduces the light going into it. It does come rolled up in a tube, but mine was laying flat within a day or two. Five stars for being exactly what I expected.

Like product for my truck my wifes truck dash board cover hasnt come and its been quite sometime since order was placed.

Honestly I love this so much. Definitely helps to not have the sun destroy my dashboard. But, one thing that I would change would be that there wasn’t much Velcro with it.

This mat fit my 2010 mercury mariner perfectly and the beige color was great to match the sand and pebble scheme of the car. It laid on the dash nicely and has settled with a little time and warmth from the sun so that I see no need to use the velcro strips provided. Really happy with it to protect my car from the harsh arizona sun.

This dash mat fit my 2011 Ford Escape XLT perfectly. It was lighter than I expected and easy to work with. Every vent slot and night sensor eye was spot on. You have to use caution on selecting a color, because it only comes in dashboard blue, any other color changes the type of dash mat to work in another vehicle type.

Serves the purpose of getting rid of the glare on the dashboard but the fit is not the best.

not as good a fit as they used to be. seemed short on the sides. maybe the modern dash's are too complicated for them

Perfect fit for 2010 Ford Escape. However, the velcro strips that are provided does not work efficiently. With minimal force I can move the dash mat. Since the dashmat fits well this is not a big problem.
