Solbar Zinc Sun Protection Cream SPF 38 4 oz (Pack of 2)

What a great sunscreen! I use this on my body and it does wonderful. It is moisturizing (a lot of body sunscreens will dry me out), and really does a good job blocking the sun's rays. I feel protected. It does leave you with an ever so slight slick feel while you wear it, but it's not bad at all and I actually enjoy it. I believe it says it's water resistant, and while it is slightly I wouldn't say it's great. It turns white where water hits you as if it were running off with the streaks of water. Now, I've yet to be burned while wearing it around water but I'm not usually getting soaked. Anyway, it's my favorite body sunscreen out of the ones I've tried because it's moisturizing but not greasy.

I LOVE this sunscreen! Over the last few years, my skin has been crazy. I've developed Lupus and mastocytosis. Both of these make trying to find products I can use very difficult. My dermatologist gave me some samples of different mineral sunscreens to try. Out of all of them, this was my favorite. It runs in all the way and doesn't leave a white film on m skin. The cream isn't greasy once it absorbs in. It only takes a little bigger than a drop the size of a quarter to do my face and neck. Personally, I reapply every 2 hours if I'm in the direct sun for a while (for example, on a cruise in the Caribbean). And the best feature, it actually works. I have not burned while wearing it and have still tanned a little. Oh, and it is very moisturizing. After I'm done with the sun and shower/wash my face, my skin feels very nourished. I've used other sunscreens that were hard to wash off and left a weird film. This one does not do that. It also doesn't clog the pores on my face. I have used it for 8 days straight 12+ hours each day and did not develop any pimples or bumps from clogged pores.

Quick and fine!

I'm in Arizona-the acid test for sunscreen, and this stuff is great. It easily lasts a 4-5 hour round of golf in the full sun. I do agree with one previous comment that it seems to be a little runnier than it used to be, although I do not notice a difference in persistance. It would be a little easier to apply if they moved the formula back to be a little thicker.

This zinc-based sunscreen appears to work well. The cream goes on "white." Give it a short time to then blend into your own skin tones after you have rubbed it on. The whiteness will disappear. Literature claims the product is not a moisturizer, but I feel the product does act as a moisturizer, too, besides sunscreening. I first purchased this product because an online dermatologist, whose Facebook posts I follow, recommended Solbar Zinc Sun Protection Cream, along with selling her own brand of sunscreen and other skin care products. I have been using this particular brand of sunscreen product for at least 8 years with satisfaction.

Good sun protection but leaves white
